My wife and I went here to see the Razorbacks play an SEC team on the road. It was a close game and the fans were great. The Hogs beat the Bulldogs and the fans were respectful. Hats off to the dogs! The Humphrey coliseum, or the Hump, was a little smaller than we are used to, but there is not a bad seat in the house. Don't pay extra for seats close to the court, they are all close! Would go back anytime.

Beautiful and very friendly university. Both my daughter and I loved this place. She is hopeful to become a Vet student here.

My dad is an MSU alumni and I guess you could say I almost lived on MSU's campus during football season as a child. I always enjoyed each weekend when games were at home and we'd make the 4hr drive to Starkville. As an adult I realize how beautiful, serene and relaxing MSU's campus can be. Of course, the college atmosphere is alive and well, but it always seems to be a more laid back and enjoyable experience than what you'd expect. I LOVE this campus and would encourage anyone that is curious to make a trip to experience it for yourself!!

Absolutely love visiting the campus at Mississippi State! The junction, student union, Barnes and Noble, Stadium, various trails and lakes throughout the property- all beautiful. Absolutely stunning in the spring. Be sure to see the chapel of memories.

Dave's Darkhorse Tavern is the place to go for pizza -- get the Master Yoda. Or, if you're not in a hurry, get the deep dish.

Also has a great bagel shop and stromboli joint. Good town and a lot less douchy than Oxford. Folks are nice and you can get around without a lot of drama.

I have been using the I2AT for several years now for their scanning electron microscopy services. Their associates have always been extremely proficient on the devices, and have been very courteous and professional to work with. They are a little hard to find the first time, being off to the side of the campus, under the big American flag on the entrance near the Hampton Inn.Look on the I2AT website for more details.

The campus is huge as it is a land grant college. There have been many new buildings and updates since I attended college here. The new expansion on the stadium has added much needed seating and the tailgating experience is great !

Longtime tradition in Starkville, the fare is consistant down to to French Bread delifered from new Orleans Bakery. Shrimp PoBoy is the most numerous but all POBoys are great in their own way. Red Beans and rice w sausage or cheese ( I like both together) There are no sale prices or discounts, just consistent attention to quality with atmosphere and tradition. If a busy weekend , there could be a longer wait but the staff can handle a crowd and often does.

Ms State has grown into quite a place. They were an Ag school when I was growing up there in the 50s and 60s. It has grown to have some highly respected programs. The Veterinary program gets high marks in this area of the country. The football, basketball and baseball programs have had a good bit of success. The football team is rated Number 1 right now. The town has Bullies fever! The campus is an attractive place. The central part of the campus is a bit congested, but that's to be expected. Parking for games is a bit of a challenge, but that's the cost of success.

This is a very picturesque campus and the people are friendly. We were here for a football game one weekend and a soccer game the next. Sports facilities are good, the views are pretty and the people are nice.

I brought my dog here for a surgery to remove a bone tumor from her skull. They took a part of the skull with it and put in a titanium mesh. This doctor is one of the top veterinary neurosurgeons in the country. Best chance of recovery and longivity for my dog, better then her chances with chemo.

College Review Day was a very well organized event for prospective students and parents. It was well worth our time to travel to Starkville! Everyone at the college that we came in contact with was friendly, helpful and eager to answer our multitude of questions. We were very impressed with the campus facilities, dorms, food, educational opportunities, etc. It is now on our list as a final contender for our soon-to-be college student!

My buddy and I had been trash talking each other for over a year, concerning a rematch on a round of golf. The day finally came when two old friends got a chance to play each other at a quality golf course. While in Starkville Mississippi attending a family reunion, my friend (whom we shall call Robert) and I , booked a 9am. T. time at Mississippi State University.18 holes with a cart cost $47.50. This facility is run and self supported by golf players alone. The course is not sponsored( financially by the University, therefore you might expect a sub-par course.I was pleasantly surprised to greeted by a young energetic group of individuals training to be P.G.A Professionals.I was told that during a four year period, students at Miss. State, may join the golf team, and train to become P.G.A golf pros, and course superintendents, as well as earn a degree in Business Management. The course at Mississippi State was very well thought out. They have a fully stocked pro shop, Snack bar, and excellent developed and maintained course. There are multiple sets of tees to play from, as well as numerous challenges of both water, deep we'll placed bunkers, and hazards to avoid along the course . This is a fairly long course( 6,604 yards). The course has lots of water (so take a couple extra balls), and is a favorite a lots of alumni, (so book early). We had a so much fun, that we booked a second day right after we finished our 18 hole grudge match ( which I won by 7 strokes).Day two played even better for us, since we now knew the course layout.I highly recommend playing this course if you are any where near Starkville. The town is a college town, where everyone is both friendly and proud of their college teams, especially golf and football.

I am from the Birmingham AL region. After visiting multiple schools, my son, without hesitation proclaimed that he wanted to receive his education here. The surrounding community embraces the students. This is not a typical college town full of chains and big business. Consider MSU for your kids.
