I am not an automobile buff but was pleasantly surprised by this museum. The history of the man behind the museum is amazing and the staff and gift shop employees were very friendly. The gift shop was high quality and reasonably priced and included so much more than just automobile memorabilia. A must see in Tupelo!

A small group of us toured the auto museum on a afternoon visit. It is an interesting place and the automobiles are aligned from the oldest to the newer models, which makes it easy to see the automobile evolution. Overall, it is an interesting place to visit, even if you aren't a Motorhead.

visiting town so decided to visit the Museum. Nice video when entering museum discussing the development. Nice collection of vehicles from earliest "horseless carriage" to present day. Had some unusual ones like a Tucker and Dodge Viper. I would estimate there were about 200-250 cars and motorcycles. I would plan to allow at least 1 to 2 hours for the visit

We were planning to visit Tupelo on the way from Huntsville AL to Oxford, Holly Springs and Memphis. We saw the Trip Advisor information about the Tupelo Automobile Museum and decided to spend an hour there. We are not car people, but we wish we had left more time for this wonderful exhibit. It is just the right size - not overwhelming. The early cars really caught our attention. Gas-powered, electric, magnetic, steam-powered. We were amazed at how big the cars were compared to today's. And with real "trunks" on the rear of some of the cars. An amazing collection. Defiinitely worth the visit. Tupelo offers more than Elvis history. :-)

You will find this complete auto museum exceeds your expectations for a small southern town. It will take you back to the drive-in movies days with the post with voice box to give details on each auto on exhibit. Other period relics are on display. A revolving themed-display is something to Google.

It's an awesome place - always neat exhibits - you could spend several hours just looking and listening -/ only once had a terrible experience with a front office person that put a terrible taste in my mouth-/ we had been by to discuss bringing a church youth group by on several occasions spoke to same lady -- kids pay $x and chaperones got in free up to x amount-- and then paid reduced fee--so that's what we paid our kids were on best behavior - went as they opened on a Saturday- were the only people there - She sends us a rather rude letter about taking advantage of museum by bringing too many chaperones - which we paid reduced price for- and had told her that we didn't know if parents would stay or drop off kid-- but she more or less told us not to come back-- so we won't

Most awesome car museum ever seen. Worth the trip. Over 100 cars from the beginning of cars to now. Can't wait to bring grand kids to see

The staff at the Tupelo Automobile Museum welcomed us and gave us a good overview of the collection. The cars are arranged in chronological order, with good labeling and history of the cars. The lighting is good, and the cars are spaced so you can get a good look at each one. We especially liked the Richard Petty and Elvis cars - what fun!

I could have driven off in a load of these cars. Coming from England, these cars are just so different from what we are used to. the 50's cars are so big, colourful and ostentatious. We loved it.

While passing through Tupelo last week, we happened to see an ad for the Tupelo Auto Museum. We were delighted that we took the time to tour this fabulous collection of rare automobiles. The museum is located near the Civic Center and just a short walk from downtown. They allow no flash photos and the listening boxes at each vehicle were very helpful in learning more about the beautiful & rare autos. My husband is an automobile affectionato who has read and studied the automoble since childhood. One can just imagine his delight at seeing Hupmobiles, Packards, Tuckers, Lagos, & Espinozas all in one location. He had never before seen some of those in person, only in print & on TV! I would highly recommend a stop at this reasonably priced attraction if you love automobiles.

Yesterday we visited the Tupelo Automobile Museum with the Memphis Miata Club. Tupelo is about an hour and a half drive from Memphis on the freeway. The collection is vast! And there are audio boxes to help explain individual exhibits. Allow plenty of time. There are benches here and there to rest (for those of us who can't stand for long periods of time).Admission is $10 for adults. Discounts for military and groups.

For $10, I enjoyed touring this car museum. It took about an hour. If you want, there are audio descriptions of each car. I just didn't care to invest that kind of time. They have some of the earliest models of automobiles from the 1800s. When I first pulled into the parking lot, my heart sank because I didn't see any cars. I thought it was going to be like Clark Griswold at Wally World. But I did pull around and saw a few cars in the parking lot. I went on a Saturday afternoon around 2pm. There may have been about 5 other visitors in the whole place.

The museum had many old and rare cars. Each vehicle has a "listening station" to hear facts about the auto. Admission is $10. Great for car guys/gals.
