If your out driving around looking for something to do on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon, you need to check out the Comstock Bridge over the salmon river. There are hiking trails along the river with many waterfall and rock slides. In the summer time a great river to do your own inner tubing

This covered bridge crosses the Salmon River between Colchester and East Hampton. With the right lighting this is a very picturesque location.Fishing below and near the bring is excellent as well.

They redid the entire bridge. Very nice craftsmanship and a nice touch to the country side. You'll love a nice ride to see the sparkling water run under the bridge and get out and enjoy nature.

It's a beautiful setting and an interesting story, but recent restorations have made the bridge so "new" in materials and appearance, you begin to wonder why you drove here in the first place. If you want to see a covered bridge without driving up to Vermont or New Hampshire, this will suffice, but I have to admit I was disappointed.
