Came for a Huskies Game at the end of November. We had a great time!! It's a bit far from campus, but the experience was good. Get there early to enjoy the tailgate festivities outside!!!!

Great stadium too bad it is so far from campus for the students but for those of us more local awesome place to watch a football game. When we arrived I thought the 15.00 parking fee was a bit high especially for students however when we left and so how people left the area with debris everywhere (and I do mean piles of trash everywhere) I understand why they have to charge so much to park. It's a shame how careless people are.

I've seen soccer, football, and hockey here. Great place to watch a game. Not a bad sightline in the place and gets LOUD for UConn Football.

Went to a USMNT Soccer Game here along with about 36,000 other fans. Getting there: We left our hotel (supposedly by GPS an 18 minute ride) 1 ½ hours early to give ourselves time to get there, find our seats, and grab a bite to eat. What we did not know is that the Hartford police blocked off the easiest route to the stadium (rumor was the locals complained about too much traffic in their neighborhood) but only after you got part way up the street and then had to turn around and go back instead of just blocking the street at the intersection and routing people around. The great circle route they sent people on was ridiculous and added about 30 minutes to the ride. Parking at the field was $20 pretty standard for such a venue. As one member of our party was recovering from orthopedic surgery we were allowed to park in handicapped parking which is plentiful and very convenient (not that the parking staff even knew where it was- - -each one we asked said “I don’t know, as the guy up there.” Finally after about 5 such replies we finally found someone who had a clue where it was and pointed us in the general direction.)The stadium itself is pretty standard. On the main level there is the usual assortment of fast food places featuring sandwiches, lots of fried options, nachos, hot dogs, burgers, chicken nuggets all for about the average stadium price of food. There were beer booths strategically placed across/next to every access point into the seating area. Conversely there was no way to buy a simple bottle of water without standing in line (the long lines) at the food outlets. If someone opened a water booth they would make a fortune! Rest rooms are plentiful and as clean as one can hope for in such an environment.We were in the 200’s meaning upper tier. There was a good amount of room between the rows. The seats were just metal benches mounted on concrete. Luckily we had brought our stadium seats so we were OK. Seating on bare metal for an evening game in October can be VERY chilly. There were stadium seats for rent for a very reasonable $5. If you do not bring your own, definitely rent one. Otherwise it may be a very uncomfortable game.Never having been to the stadium before we were NOT prepared for the process of leaving the game. We got to our car relatively quickly, and pulled out---about 10 feet. And there we sat for over 40 minutes. The place was totally grid locked, and while there were local police and State Troopers around they did absolutely nothing to help the traffic move. We finally realized why so many people were tail gating AFTER the game. . .they had been there before and knew it would take an hour or two to clear the traffic jam. We finally made our way back TOWARD the stadium and around the outside of the parking lot barriers to finally make it off the property – 1 hour and 10 minutes later. Be forewarned: if you are going to this stadium the parking and the traffic flow is terribly managed. After the game the best advice is to take a nap or tail gate until the traffic clears to save yourself a lot of aggravation and gas.

We spent a great day watching uconn vs boise st last Sat. Finding the stadium is very easy, exit 58 off of rt 84. we paid are 15 dollars to park, which is great and parked in the big field behind stadium, plenty of parking here but it does fill up the closer you get to game time. tailgated for a cpl hours went into stadium and was impressed, very clean and safe. just your average food, hotdogs, burgers, nachos, and popcorn. you can buy beer but did not find a place for wine or rum drink. it seems everywere in this place is a good seat except maybe the endzone were the big screen tv is only because you would have to keep turning around to see the replays. the game was great with boise state pulling away in the end. it seems that uconn does not get alot of fan support with the stadium only about 3/4 full which is a shame. there is 2 familly sections if your bringing younger kids. overall we had a great affordable day watching big time football. (2 tix and parking for 65 dollars) and will be back again over and over

We traveled from Idaho to attend the BSU v UCONN football game. Every one we encountered was polite, fun and there to have a good time as we were. Even the event security people at the gate were the nicest and friendliest we have ever experienced at any football venue. We were VERY impressed with the stadium itself. The huge big screen was awesome! The leg room in the stands was extraordinary. Loved the convenience of being able to rent a stadium seat with a back on it for the very reasonable price of $5. The concession stands had yummy food also priced very affordable.

My family and I arrived early . attended the pep rally which was fun and fan fest where there where giveaways . We had great seats and parked for $15 . Walk was not bad fromparking lot to field . Good size stadium . go early enjoy tail gating . Easy to find . Nice afternoon of college football

We went as a visiting team fan and the stadium is pretty nice. It was very clean. The scoreboard is really nice. Parking fee was reasonable at $15, but we had a very far walk. Lots of police, but they seemed to only have a presence---didn't really help with traffic flow. I was disappointed that most of the seats did not have seat backs. Makes it less comfortable than other stadiums. Everything is clearly marked. We sat in the "family section", which is supposed to mean no alcohol to be consumed there, however that clearly was not the case. There didn't appear to be a lot of event staff present, which was surprising for a college football game where alcohol is served.

Although the team is terrible this year, you'll always have a good time at "the rent". Even if Uconn looses, you get to experience some of the best tailgating with thousands of new friends. It's a reasonable $15 to park and the gates open to tailgate 4 hours before kickoff.

I wish that I could say that going to Rentschler Field has been a favorable experiance as of late, but it has not. I have been attending UConn Huskies Football games there since it has opened, have sat everywhere in the stadium except for skyboxes and have parked everywhere that the Rent as it's called has offered.This is not to say that the facility is the cause of these unhappy moments, it's plain and simplely the Huskies. This team is going nowhere, especially this year, fast. So lets talk about the Rent.40,000 seat facility that was plopped down in an old air strip. hence the name. The story goes someone was going to move an NFL team to this spot many moons ago because he was unhappy with the situation where he was. After CT attempted to woo him with candy and flowers, he backed out and stayed put in a new stadium north of here(im being sarcastic) So the UConn Huskies football team went Division 1 and away we went. I can't say they have had no success and have not had winning seasons, but it seems that has peaked with their bowl game apperances and is headed south right now. Pretty much anywhere you sit, you have a great view, of course there are the 50 yard line chairback seats that cost a few bucks more, but seeing this team is 0-7 this year those prices May be coming down fast, search around. Prices have increased over 10 years from $20 to $40 but what has not? These are bench seats, the chairbacks go into the $50,$60 dollar range and sometimes come with a parking pass still not unbearable for a college game. Food wise no differant than any other event. The standards, Nachos,Chicken fingers,Firies,Burgers, Popcorn, Soda, water and of course Beer. Prices are pretty much standard, your gonna pay more when you go through the gate. There are some specialty food vendors over near scoreboard. Cupcakes, fried doe and others that give you a few other options. Vendors with shirts,hats,balls and other UConn huskies gear are located in the 4 corners first level. Also even though this is a College Football game your gonna get your load mouths with somewhat vulger language. Im sorry but you never know who you will be behind, in front of or side by side, so be aware if you bring young kids.Bathrooms are clean and never really backed up, the 0-7 could be the reason. One of the biggest things I have leaned is parking. Pay for a pass, Blue,Grey or whatever parking pass you can get your hands on, check Ebay, Stub hub, it's well worth it. Otherwise you will be hiking a long way, remember this was an airfield. Also in the general parking it's a little more messy and a little more wacky. the last game me and the family went to I had a grey parking pass, got it on e-bay for 25 bucks, blues ran more. also keep in mind this is New England,the weather here is completly unpredictable. you buy your tickets in August for a game in October be prepared, October has not been a great month here in the Northeast. It could be 80 degrees and sunny or 30 and raining.Plenty of State Police presents at games, night games are also a blast. If you get there early, tailgate. If you get done tailgating early take a walk to Cabelas. all and all it's still an inexpensive day to go see a college football game. I realize it's going to take a lot to make CT more than a College Basketball State, maybe years. But on a nice October Saturday afternoon it worth it.
