Have been here a few times. Good selection of beer, wide range. Depends on seasonality, but I've never been disappointed in what's currently on tap. It's bring your own food, however, they often will have a local restaurant supply food for an evening during the week. They offer tours of the brewery and you can try samples, order a glass or fill a growler to take home. (Discounts if you refill your growler.) Usually closed Mondays and Tuesdays but their website has complete schedule.

Broad Brook Brewing (BBB; B^3) is so excellent that East Windsor, New Jersey is trying to claim them.... but they can't. BBB is in East Windsor, CT. My goal for today will be to find how to change an address on Tripadvisor.... because BBB is awesome and one of the rare gems of CT. If you see it has been changed to CT and the title of my review makes no sense, then yay! I've succeeded :DBBB opened in September 2013 and are part of the CT Beer Trail. They guys and gals that run the place are always on the move, because the place stays pretty busy. When they have a moment, the guys seem really happy to talk about their beers. I think they still offer brewery tours on weekends. We did a tour & tasting (they had a discount on Groupon or LivingSocial), which was fun. It's a small brewery, and it was very clean and new when we saw it. They started canning a few weeks ago and have even asked for volunteers to help, but I missed it :(The beer is fantastic. I love the Broad Brook Ale, and their Rhino Red is also at the top of my list. My husband raved over their Oatmeal Stout when it was available, and Season of the Witch was good. They have a pretty good assortment of IPAs, including the Dark Star IPA, which is a hoppy dark IPA. They're good, but I'm not a major IPA gal. I will always take their red or ale over them, but I like to get sampler flights every once in a while to try each. Most of them have a higher alcohol content, so I can't drink more than two.Since around March 2014-ish, BBB has added a small assortment of ciders and wines to the selections available. I have tried none of these.Conveniently, it's BYOF (bring your own food)! I'll often stop at Subway (in the same plaza) and get subs to enjoy with a beer at BBB.There are local-made potato chips for purchase. On Thursday evenings, a local restaurant's food is available, served buffet-style. It is usually busy, and the food is gone within an hour. My husband and I have only caught it once out of probably 8 Thursdays (one time we brought our own food - doh!). To sum it up - I like the place. I like their beer. I'm glad BBB is right around the corner from my house :D
