When it was still open it was a nice small town museum, mostly dedicated to the history of one local family that was prominent in the iron business many years ago. However, if you weren't a Holley or a Williams, or didn't really find looking around old houses very satisfying, it wasn't the kind of visit you would be apt to repeat. They had an enactor who was very good as a Revolutionary soldier (cannons for the Revolutionary War were made nearby) and really knew his history, but even he couldn't make the site into the attraction I think people hoped it would become.
