Hi Amy, Thank you so very much for your review of our farm. We truly appreciate your comments. More important, we look forward to having you and your boyfriend out to the Orchard this year. Of course, you know that we make those delicious cider donuts fresh every day, right?! It's totally worth a road trip, even at this time of the year! :-)Thanks again for your feedback.

I've played both the Jones and Player courses a number of times and they are one of my favorite places to play in CT. I prefer the Jones course, but they are both excellent. Tried out their new golf simulator this past weekend and it was very disappointing. The room was small and dark, at least half our shots didn't register at all and the calibration was terrible. It told me my 7 iron went 89 yards, then my 3 Wood went 336....both highly unlikely. The young lady who was on duty was helpful but she couldn't get the thing to work properly either. A waste of $95; needless to say we won't be going back again. Stick to real golf and you're fine.

Visited the breathtaking sunflower maze; to be followed by the tricky corn maze! Then we saw signs for up coming events ..... A trended the gingerbread house making party ! Wow ! Byob , house, candy, and snacks provide at the Lyman Homestead..... Complete with a tour. Simply amazing. A. Must do ! I am already looking forward to their lobster bake in August !

wonderful family atmosphere with a great selection of specialty foods good, fruit, and vegetable with pick your own fruits (apples, pears etc) as well as fun events (corn maze for example) for the family at the apple barrel store (with in store bakery and deli and brunch with Santa in the historic Lyman Homestead - Not to be missed

As a resident I am disappointed that I cannot go to the local orchard and farm store because of the massive crowds. Even the pick your own lots are mobbed. I picked apples several weeks ago and they were lousy. Like another reviewer I also bought apples in the farm store and they weren't much better. The overall quality has declined based on my experience and I no longer go there on a regular basis.

We visited Lyman Orchards - the first time for my sister and I - on what has to be their busiest time of the year . . .Autumn. Yes, it was crowded and we decided not to wait on line for cider or hot dogs, but the store checkout was quick and I loved the selection of their own products: home-baked apple pies that are the best in the state, their own cheddar cheese to accompany a pie slice, and homemade honey butter, an old-fashioned favorite. We walked around the large duck pond next to the corn maze and took the short horse-drawn wagon ride up to the original farmhouse which was surprisingly large and lovely.

Was on a company event and we had lunch, did pumpkin carving and the corn maze. Their hot apple cider is the best and the apple cider donuts over the edge. Out lunch that they provided was excellent, the scenery was incredible even on an overcast day. Their store had the best products and smelled wonderful. Will definitely go back with the family. Corn maze really great!

We recently visited Lyman on a Saturday mid-Oct. I have been going to Lyman for years and have loved it there. But things have certainly changed. In the pick your own there were no apples left on the trees! :( The line for the bakery wrapped around the store! The apples in the store (because I couldn't pick them!) were $1.50/pound and tasted old. Def not right off the tree as one would expected. The kettle corn was even overpriced! This quaint farm has become a money hungry factory. Even though I did go on one of the busiest days of the year, the prices and quality have turned me off. Next year I will be in search for a new farm to create my fall memories.

The orchard is beautiful. Lots to pick and a lovely market close by "The Apple Barrel" that has fresh produce and lots of baked goods. You can purchase food to eat and you can sit outside on the patio. I'm looking forward to going back when the foliage is at peak. Lovey area.

We went during the berry festival. My kids were just delighted to be in the farm. The peaches were just simply amazing. I thought it was like an addiction that you just want to pick all the fruits you see.

What an experience for my whole family! My wife wanted to go to a pick-your-own place for some time now, but I just wasn't that interested. Boy, was I wrong! First of all, this place is huge and beautiful. The fruits will change depending on the season, so during the months of June, July and August strawberries, blueberries and peaches are available to pick. The fact that you can pay with either cash or credit card it's great. And that the cost per pound is much cheaper that in a supermarket or a big chain it makes it even greater. The store/fresh market that they have called "Apple Barrel" has everything that they grow and a little bit more. We bought a "High Top No Sugar Added Apple Pie" thinking about my health. It looked tasty, sadly that was not the case. The apples were fresh and juicy, but the rest of it was to bland. I just added a little bit of "splenda" and cinnamon. The cider donuts were delicious. The apple cider was refreshing and very tasty. I recommend this for the whole family. We just had a great time.

We love going to Lyman Orchards for the sunflower maze and the corn maze. They're on the expensive side if you go with a large family but it's definitely a fun activity for all. We've also been to several of their festivals where they have live music, pony rides and horse-drawn carriage rides among other things. The festivals are unfortunately very similar.

My wife and I brought my 8- and 11-year-old grandchildren hear for a pleasant activity on a warm summer day. My oh my, it was more than I'd hoped for. We picked many pounds of berries, plump and ripe beyond my dreams, and brought home 8 pints for $30. Amazing. I baked a pie from a Cook's Illustrated recipe when we got home, and we all agreed there was never a better blueberry pie. Ever.We enjoyed a tasty lunch from the counter at the orchard store, sitting at a picnic table under a shade tree overlooking the pond. A perfect outing.
