I took my grand Kid to this Museum. They were very impressed, all of the ship models and plaques filled with the history of our U S Coast Guard. If you like history this is the place.

This is a small but informative museum covering the history of the U.S. Coast Guard and its mission. There are numerous photographs and models of historical cutters, equipment used throughout the history of the service, artifacts and uniforms, weaponry and memorabilia. There is also information about its involvement with Voice of America and high visibility incidents like the sinking of the Andrea Doria. The USCG service seems to maintain low visibility but the museum brings to the forefront the importance of the varied jobs it performs.
