If you love tea or never even given it a thought you should stop in! They have numerous flavors to choose from. Once you try you will never have Lipton again hot or cold! If you have time to stop I. The cafe it's a great place with some unique food ideas. Personally I'd go with French onion soup and a Scott sandwich. They also have a tasting room where they will Brew you any flavor to try for free.

We had Harney and Sons Tea at breakfast and our waitress told us where to find the tea room in Millerton NY. It was a very cute shop and we bought some tea and a pot and have enjoyed it since we've been home.

We had a blast here, tasting and learning about all sorts of tea. Great customer service also. If you love to drink tea, this place is for you. There is also an onsite cafe/restaurant.

So sad the Harney's left CT and moved over the line to busy Millerton, but I doubt they are. They have a lovely shop, which is pricey, but pretty and the teas are fantastic. They serve a fantastic lunch in a warm cozy spot that great on these cold winter days. In the summer they have an outdoor dining area. which is always full on Sat. as THE best farmer's market in the area is across the way!

Harney & Sons tea room in Millerton, NY is an enjoyable, pleasant, informative shopping experience. It is an "experience" in that the staff is educated about tea and are open and willing to educate you. They want you to be an informed and happy consumer! In the tea room, a few pots of tea are available to tasting and you can try a select choice of tea or two from the vast selection on hand. Feel free to ask them questions. They didn't blink when I asked for a less expensive tea selection compared to a pricier version. You may want to review their catalog before your first trip. Otherwise, it may be overwhelming in selection choices (that is a good thing) and pricing choices.

Harney's is a good pick for a light lunch and cup of tea. The snug lunch room sits off the much larger gift shop and tea emporium and offers a small menu of well prepared salads, sandwiches and hot dishes. Tea afficianados can pick from scores of different teas available, some of them costing upwards of $150 a pound.

There is a great ambiance and even better lunches at Harney's. They have a relaxing area in which to taste teas - there are several selected to taste each day, and you can pick one of your own - and it's also a nice place to grab a gift for a friend or loved one. One of the nicest stops in Millerton and probably the best lunch option although service can be slow at times.

Estive na loja de NY procurando um chá específico, pedi ajuda uma vendedora que me indicou a localização com a mão, não consegui encontrar e só então ela foi pegar a latinha de chá, mas reclamando. Antes disso tentamos tomar um chá mas o garçom foi extremamente grosso e mal educado. Nos acomodou no bar e ficamos lá sentados mais de 10 minutos sem que ele sequer olhasse na nossa cara! Já estive em lojas de chá em São Paulo, Paris, Buenos Aires e até mesmo em NY, todas com ótimo atendimento, mas essa Harney & Sons é péssima!
