For a town of this size, the library has been too small for too long. Staff is great and there is plenty of parking now. We just need a couple more floors for some breathing room! Everything you could want is here though with a fantastic video library available for loan. Who needs Blockbuster?

This is a small library with gem of a staff. The workers are so helpful. They will go beyond your expectation to help you get or find what you need. I do not even live in Southington.

The children's department is small. There is a separate (small) room with a few toys for kids to play with. Most story times are for Southington residents only. Unfortunately not a good destination if you need an indoor activity with children.

southington library offers free admission to local museums. We recevied our vouchers for the New Britain museum of art. wonderful experience. People in the library are very nice and helpful. Its a wonderful building to walk in to comfortable, clean peaceful and airy. nice way to spend an afternoon
