We are not big race fans. That should be declared right up front. From what I understand, most NASCAR fans either love or hate this place. From my perspective, it was a lot of fun.We visited on a "Wacky Wednesday". Kids are free (14 and younger) and adults are $8. Where else can a family of four spend 2-3 hours out for only $16-32 dollars? They do not allow you to bring in any alcohol, but you can bring your own cooler of beverages and food. Also, dont forget your ear plugs!!! This is a must, especially for the younger kids.We had a good time, but for us it was just a night to enjoy something different. We dont follow the races through the season, we dont have favorites, we dont care who wins. But we still enjoyed it! The kids loved the opportunity to sit inside the race cars at the main get as we were entering (which was free and the drivers/owners even offered signed photos to the kids.)They also offer Kids birthday parties. A great alternative idea/location.

Recently went for the Memorial Day family fun night! What a blast.. Kids and husband had so much fun. We enjoyed the destruction derby, ski races, musical cars and 4 cylinder enduro race. 48.00 for family of 4 and you can bring your own food and drinks!

With some updates this attraction could be better. But great weds night prices and food is not bad. A lot of wrecks compared to other venues and that slows the program down. Overall it is a good night out for the family.

While visiting friends in Conneticut my husband and myself visited the Waterford Speedbowl in Turnpike, Waterford, CT. NASCAR is a safe and fun spectator activity for all ages. Great family activity. It was great fun for us and I would definitely recommend it for all ages. The food area has lovely rustic homestyle cooking that it is delicous. There is ample parking too. But most of all the fun, the atomosphere, the races, the excitement is intoxicating, we had great fun and enjoyment there and its well worth a visit if your in the area !

Thrills and fun with the family....what could be better? The races are exciting and very entertaining for the whole family. I would recommend strongly to bring earplugs and a blanket to sit on....the seats are not that comfortable. It's a fun time if you like the races.

If you're into racing, the NASCAR circuit and regional racing is great. But if you're like me, I'm not much on racing - so I go for the Nights of Destruction, demolition derbies, trailer races (love those), school bus demolitions, and so forth. It sounds childish but it is just a lot of pure clean fun.

My father son and I have been regulars for the WnWW shows for many years great value with kids free and adults only 8 dollars. We love the racers and the excitement. The only downfall is the long yellow flags some racers appear to get which drags the night out. There appears to be some favoritism with race officials and some competitors. Love the Bowl.

Went this summer after last attending about 10 years ago. Seeing as there's only 4 "attractions" listed for Waterford, having this rated "number 2" is really deceiving.Parking is still on a horrible gravel / dirt / sand lot (don't take any vehicle you don't want covered in dust and dirt), which is accentuated by the drunken yahoos that feel the need to do burnouts all over the place after the races. Food services are questionable at best, and restroom facilities are a horror show. If you take kids you really need to be careful where you sit. The so-called family area is filled with foul mouthed drunks at about the same ratio as the rest of the place, and god forbid if you sit in some area that some group or family thinks "belongs" to them.Maybe I'm asking too much but its nickname "the toilet bowl" still applies.

We've been going here for years & it's a blast! We always go as a group & get food there. Kids love it too! Very affordable way to spend an evening. Definitely recommend it!

Most racing events have been bought out so the land can be developed. How sad. A few states have drag racing and it seems "The speedbowl" has added this to their schedule. But drag racing is a dime a dozen.... Just check out their web site for all they offer! Wacky Wednesday is a favorite. Be prepared to be entertained! First time I came to "Trailer racing" I thought of tractor trailers. I hate to spoil it if you've never been but, what it is is STUFF / JUNK thrown on the back of a trailer and raced around the track ! There's "Blindfold" School Bus Demolition... modifies.... midgets ...regular track racing and lots more........Is it loud ? You bet! Bring ear plugs for yourself and the little ones. A blanket to sit on or keep the chill out for the night racing. They also have Fireworks on certain nights. As I say something for everyone. Racing Sat, Sun and Wednesday Friday is drag racing so pick and choose your new favorite place to go! They are all Fun and Thrilling.Concession stands price wise are no more expensive than would be expected. They also sell beer. Plenty of parking....come earl and park towards front. Later arrivals will get you farther out. Upside is you might be able to leave faster. Sometimes it's like a free for all in the parking lot with everyone trying to leave , that's true with most events.Standard price Adult $ 16.00 Kids 6-14 $ and under 5 free. Special event prices higher of course.....check them out www.speedbowl.com The Waterford Speedbowl is a great way to spend a day ! Or night...........
