hartford armory

Security is tight as you would expect at this military facility but it does open up periodically. There are some neat displays on the first floor and the drill shed floor on the second has seen everything in Hartford's history. Try and get lunch in the Officers Club if you can!

Location is poor. Parking is expensive. Not worth the time. There is way too much traffic. Not enough interesting things to see. It is not something worthy of having family time at this location. If you are bored, want to spend a lot on parking and most likely have your car broken into, stolen, ticketed, etc then I'd say make a visit. I rate this location a D-

Inside, find a very interesting museum of the Connecticut Army and Air National Guard history. This building is over 100 years old. The armory floor is the biggest in Connecticut.
