The orchard is a great place to go if you want to take the family and get out of the house. The surroundings are beautiful especially in the spring and summer. There's nothing like the smell of fresh peaches as you walk through the orchard. If you've never bit into a warm, freshly-picked peach in your life, you'll want to try these peaches.

We decided to come here for the pumpkin patch (WHAT a variety and HUGE pumpkins) as well as the Halloween attractions-hay ride, face and pumpkin painting, cider, etc. Well organized and fun to see all the young children enjoying the activities.

We visited Chiles last Sunday, which is prime season. We started off at Carters Orchards, a little closer to Richmond. It was a madhouse there and we were stuck in miles of traffic trying to get in. Turned around and headed out to Chiles, a scenic drive on a beautiful fall day. It is only about 10 mins off the highway but feels remote and a great escape. Most everyone was coming for pumpkins and we just walked around the fields. They still had a great selection on Oct 5th. We walked through the apple orchards too, mostly just to enjoy the day because we ended up buying apples inside. They have a great assortment and we came home with a load of them. I'm baking now! This was exactly what we were looking for and glad we ended up here instead of the very touristy Carters.

We love Chile's in any season, but apple season is even better than peach season. The cider is good, although not made on site, and the apple cider doughnuts are the best. The greatest part of the experience is always the staff. They are extremely helpful and can tell you about every variety they have. Just a word about the peaches. They are excellent also!

We love coming here to stroll around the orchard, pick a few peaches, and, of course, to get some peach ice cream! It is an amazing summer treat. This is a wonderful place to visit with the family for a relaxed afternoon activity. Would highly recommend to everyone in the area!

First time that we had ever picked peaches while on a short trip to Cville. It was a fun experience and had a good time just picking a bag of peaches and having some ice cream which was a generous and tasty portion.

Great little spot. If you pick your own peaches you can find some pretty big ones. Set them out to ripen for a few days and you are good to go. They have good peach ice cream too. But don't get to excited with picking because it can get expensive quick at $1.89 lb. All in all I would say it is the next best thing to my usual fresh Georgia peaches.

The absolute best peach pie in the universe. We bring pies where ever we travel (friends and relatives) and they all agree...the best! Strawberries and apples in season. Pick your own if desired. A must stop!

We went to pick peaches today and were pleasantly surprised by the store. Home made fudges, syrups, jellies, ice cream, & shakes. It IS a bit expensive for ice cream. Peaches were $1.89 lb if you pick them. Shaded and unshaded picnic areas are outside. There are cafe tables inside. We will come again!

Whether you visit in the late spring for strawberries, mid-summer for peaches or autumn for pumpkins and apples, you will have a fantastic time here and the fruit is amazing. Great place to bring the family for picking or just purchase all picked from their store. Ice cream is an added bonus, along with pies and doughnuts. We always bring our out of town guests and family here and they always leave with great memories of a good time.

My wife and I have visited Chile's twice, once for apple picking, once for peach picking. The orchards are fabulous, well maintained, and ladders are strategically placed throughout for those picking their own (like us). The spacious orchard barn serves hot coffee, drinks, ice cream, and donuts. Many gifts are available as well as clothing. The staff is friendly and ready to assist you in every way. We thoroughly enjoyed both visits!

We stopped here on Oct 6. We really enjoyed the apple butter and apple cider that we bought here. The peach flavored ice cream was great. While we did not go into the orchard, as we had picked apples earlier in the day at another orchard, this is good, fun place to bring kids. It is a very clean place. The drive to it from Charlottesville was beautiful.

I took my girlfriend here to pick peaches on a warm July afternoon and found the coolest little orchard around! The folks are very friendly, there is a well stocked country store, and the peaches were awesome! Check it out!

Great peaches and apples in season, locally grown vegetables and peach ice cream. Always have to visit several times during the harvest season as I just can't get enough of the locally grown fruits and vegetables.
