I was skeptical at first about playing a course out in Gordonsville, VA. Boy was I surprised! This course has a country club feel. The new clubhouse is amazing, the food was fantastic, the staff was incredibly friendly. And that's nothing compared to the course! The course was incredibly well maintained. It was by far in the best condition of any course I've ever played, and I've played a lot! This course was a little bit challenging for me but I was not disappointed. If I lived anywhere close to this place I'd become a member in a heartbeat! My advice to you is to check this place out. You will love it!

What a course!!!!!!!!!!! Every hole is gorgeous, challenging yet fair golf course. A must to play if you're in the Charlottesville area. A solid 10+

This is the second time I have played Spring Creek and it is an extraordinarily well-groomed golf course where you are treated well. My friend and I paid $60.00 to play after 1:00pm and it was well worth the money. It is a difficult but fair course, with well maintained fairways and greens. The traps were a mess but that is because they were preparing for the Virginia Amateur Championship to be played this next week. Once the new clubhouse is finished, this will be a course no one who enjoys golf should miss playing. Wonderful course with welcoming people.

This is the best course in the state of Virginia, guaranteed. The course is immaculate, the scenery is amazing, and the course is challenging. I would not recommend it for beginners, but all golfers will appreciate the course layout and beauty. The staff is incredibly friendly and members that I encountered were pleasant to be around as well. Anyone who has anything negative to say about this course is crazy. It is worth every penny!

My wife and I travel 1x/year with our friends, and golf is always a primary activity we plan into our agenda. We've played many courses over the years in many states, and this one was as gorgeous as any. Not only was the course simply beautiful, it was exquisitely maintained. It took a few holes to get used to the speed of the greens; they are VERY fast....but rolled true as an arrow. Not complaining about them at all...just be aware. Now, in response to the review that complained about price. It's a no brainier. Paying less than $60 pp to play a high caliber course like Spring Creek is a heck of a deal. In no way is it overpriced. In addition, the same review complained about being treated poorly if not a member. Our experience couldn't be further from that reviwer's. Everyone from the security guard at the main gate, to the gentleman who checked us in at the Pro Shop, to the Starter, were all as cordial as could be. They went out of their way to make us feel welcome, and were not even from that part of the country!! One final note. We did learn that beginning Sep 1st, 2013, the club has gone to 'Members Only' on weekends. That leaves M-F for us 'non-members'. So, if you're in the area and have the time to play a round, definitely give Spring Creek a visit.

My group played this course on Sunday May 19, 2013. We scheduled it due to its ranking in Golf Digest. We were not disappointed. It was in great shape and the layout was a lot of fun to play. Numerous sets of tees to play from made it enjoyable for all.Played for $60 to ride on Sunday afternoon. Clubhouse is a temporary trailer with a snack bar.The employees were all very friendly and I would highly recommend this course.

So my and a few friends played this course recently. Mistake and waste of money they over charge on everything!!! First off if you are not a member there they don't care about you or anything you need. Very crappy practice range hitting off fake mats? And only two water stations on the whole course??? For that price and The rude people don't make this worth it all. The scenery is nice and the half of the putting green that want roped off because of fungus was decent. Save $50 play some where else.

We playedSpring Creek as a foursome from three different sets of tees. So I guess you could say we saw it all. The course was in excellent shape though raining it drained well and allowed carts on the course. We were playing on a "winter card" which was a gift so the price was right. We had lunch in the snack bar which had a good variety, all of which was tasty. I will go back as we had a great time

SC is a challenging and beautiful course. Beautifully maintained. Probably the nicest in the state of Virginia.

The tour was enjoyable. The guide was very knowledgeable and you could tell she really enjoys her job. The grounds were well maintained. The visit is worth the time.

By far the best course nearby. The price is steep but you won't be disappointed by the quality and upkeep of this course. You won't want to go back to your local course after playing here!

This course is phenomenal! I have played several times and the course conditions are unmatched in VA (let alone Charlottesville area). The course is easily accessible from Rt 64 (< 2 miles) an is always in perfect shape. The staff is very friendly, as is the membership. The clubhouse is not fantastic, and there is no formal resturant/bar on premises, but if you are just interested in golf, there are no better options within hundreds of miles.

This is a great golf course and would fit into any golfers itinerary for a golf trip.Absolutley beautifully maintained. Course is playable for all, but definitely a treat for better golfers. Don't expect much from the clubhouse as they are in a temporary one, but if it's golf you want this as a great experience not to be missed.
