It has been a while since I have visited Naked Mountain. Last time was just OK. But this time I really enjoyed several of their wines. The service was great. We actually bought several wines.

Very nice tasting room, nice people, and a great patio area where they allow you to bring your own picnic. Very good wine variety and they tasted pretty good.

We had a hard time choosing a bottle to take home. We wanted them all. Each one was terrific! Even though they lost power due to the high winds, they were so accommodating and lit us a fire. We had a wonderful and cozy afternoon. We will def be back!

Nice wines, beautiful view and nice girl doin' the tasting! Were here on Friday (16 Jan) and was a very nice experience. There were several people here and she handled it well giving plenty of info and good conversation. Did I say it was beautiful?

Set up on a hillside facing west, Naked Mountain should be on any list for a tasting tour. Though small, it provides some very good wine within a large menu of options, all for $10. The selection is on target with some very interesting tastes as you progress. Most important is the veteran staff who are both accommodating and knowledgeable as well as generous in their pours. The view from the deck is magnificent, even in the winter months. There is a light bill of fare to accompany the follow up to the tasting when you settle in for a full glass or two. The staff highlighted their upcoming annual traditional offering of homemade lasagna during the chilly winter months. Incidentally, the name refers to a mountain whose top has been leveled with few trees apparent, even though their T shirts proudly proclaim that it is very good "To Drink Naked."

Arrived just before closing but they still did tasting. Many good wines and very friendly staff. Always a pretty view even in winter. Drink Naked, of course.

After an unforeseen traffic delay, we arrived 30 minutes prior to the published closing time. Having tasted their wines before, we were only there to purchase Christmas presents. Obviously disappointed when we were turned away, but really confused when other customers left the winery while we made our way back to the car.

Delicious wine tasting afternoon in the sun and beauty of the Shenandoah Valley in fall. Music on the deck, a lovely day and a well versed server at the wine tasting. We left with 6 bottles and a warm feeling in our hearts. A truly lovely day. Would become club members if we lived closer. Red Raptor is a great full bodied red. Skinny dipper a lovely blend. Don't miss this gem!

We split a tasting between the two of us and actually enjoyed it far more than most other Virginia wineries (we're Napa snobs). What was even more surprising is that we liked the Whites the best, which is rare for 2 red-lovers. After the expansive tasting (I believe it was 10 wines for $10, not bad at all), we bought a bottle and brought it outside. They had plenty of seating set apart from each other so that you could enjoy your bottle privately. We brought our own picnic lunch to eat with our wine. Only drawback was the bugs in the yard (then again, you're outside in a field, so it's expected). There were plenty of kids running around and playing in the large field. Seemed like a nice place to bring the kids for a day outside while parents could enjoy socializing over wine.

Sit outside and enjoy a snack while sampling one of their many wines. The view of the Blue Ridge Mountains is spectacular. A romantic sitting. Take a designated driver if you plan on sampling wine at one of several other vineyards.

The grounds are awesome, the view is great, the wine is amazing... what else can you say? We drove from Alexandria and it was well worth it as we had a great time. It is very cozy and offers a nice selection of food plates to go with the wine. Any afternoon would be great to just sit around and "Drink Naked".

Tastings are super cheap or free if you get 12bottles, which is easy considering the wine is really good. The winery has a lot of areas to hang out and relax. They also serve platters of snacks to have with the wine. Will totally come back, also, you can bring your dog!!! (Just not inside the area where you do the tastings)

The Winery offers a nice view and tables outside to enjoy a glass of wine. There is a small menu with items that go great with sipping (baguette with olive oil, pimento dip, platters with cheeses, nuts and Prosciutto, etc...). They offer tastings, I think it was 9 wines for $10 but that seemed like too much for us and they gladly offered an abbreviated tasting of 4-5 wines. We enjoyed our visit and it was perfect after picking fruit at a nearby farm earlier that day.

Kudos to Seth, the winemaker at Naked Mountain! We enjoyed our first two visits and found some very good Cabernet Franc here. Also liked some of the other wines. This third visit was really a great one. The Catamount Red blend is a light red that was very good. We also enjoyed the Chardonnay! The view from the tasting room is spectacular. The ground encourage play and relaxation. They are pet friendly on the grounds; however, pets are not permitted in the tasting room. This is a must stop every time we are around this part of Virginia.
