My husband and I took our 2 grandchildren to see a movie on this rainy Saturday morning. We decided to try the newly renovated Carmike Cinema, as it is close to home and we were curious to see what it was like. We were extremely pleased with our experience! The food was delicious, and the service was excellent. Our waiter Lonnell was very attentive to our needs thus making for a very enjoyable time. We will definitely be returning! On a side note, if you purchased the popcorn bucket from last year, bring it with you and they will give you a new one along with the popcorn for free! We have purchased one every year since they came out with it, and were very disappointed not to be able to use it for half of last year. Glad to hear they are continuing this promotion.

This is an entirely newly renovated Movie Theater, in Midlothian, VA (a county of Richmond, VA). This was the Old Carmike Theater that is still owned by Carmike Cinema, but the new name added is called Ovation 10. This theater is officially scheduled to have its public Grand Opening on March 6, 2015, but they are open all day for business to the public beginning February 27, 2015, they call the dates from February 27 thru March 6, their "Quiet Opening", and anyone can come in and buy tickets to any shows as of right now, or book Online for any of the shows, at their Website or Fandango.This theater is a Dine-In-Movie combined experience, they have food served all day long for their shows, which include breakfast, lunch and dinner. They will have Breakfast movies, where you can order all you can eat pancakes on the menu. Their menu is extensive, and displays a huge variety of food choices and beverages, and all are reasonably priced.This theater allows you to bring your children to all the movie times as well. Therefore, this is a family friendly theater, and is outstanding and fantastic. It is also a good place for couples and friendly get together as well. This Theater has a lobby bar with much seating that sells alcoholic beverages, and has a few big Flat Screen Televisions to watch. This newly renovated Dine In Movie Theater has comfortable full back and rocking leather chair seating, with mini tables attached to them that you can pull forward and use to eat and drink on or fold back away in place if you don't wish to eat and drink in your seat. Every seat has its own push button for personal Waiter Staff Service for Food/Drink, etc. during your entire time in your seat throughout your Movie, you never need to leave your seat to buy your food choices, even when the movie is going, and they will also come and take your dirty dishes away if you press for them to come to you. Of course, your Movie Ticket is a separate price from what you order in your seat. The price for the Movie is the same as any Movie Theater in fees, and you don't have to order food/drink if you don't want to. However, if you order food/drink in your seat, you will receive a Check/Bill at the end of the movie to pay with your personal Waiter for your food/drink items, just like in any Restaurant how you pay for your food/drink. The Popcorn and Soda Beverages are unlimited on Refills, when you purchase one for your show. The plate wear is stern, modern but tough durable plastic wear, (like Corelle material), the Forks, Butter Knives are stainless steel flat wear, the Soda Cups are huge sturdy plastic as well, all look dishwasher safe, etc. The aisles between seating rows is huge, and there is more than enough room for a person to stretch their legs out in their seat, as well as have the Waiters maneuver comfortably for service. Also every seat has a button to push for extra lighting at your own personal seat if needed. The set up of the seating is Stadium Style, and no matter what seat you pick the movie Screen is highly visible, every seat is a good seat. There is plenty of parking in the lot for vehicles. This Theater is beautifully designed and modern in its decor, and makes for a lovely dine-in-movie experience. This Theater is located in a clean & safe and convenient area, where there is some business in the area, but not an area that is too busy, but moderate with traffic, etc.All seating at this dine-in-movie theater must be reserved, either by coming into the theater and choosing your seat or choosing your seat and booking your reservation Online. Reserved seating is fantastic because you don't have to fight your way to find and look for a seat, once you book your seat it is yours for the time you choose your movie.I was quite happy to go last night to their first day of "quiet opening" to the public, on Friday, February 27, 2015. I bought my husband and young 9 year old daughter and a friend with me, and we all enjoyed our experience. The food was delicious. The Customer Service was friendly, but because it was their 1st day opening up to the public "quietly", the Customer Service Staff are all brand new and still learning their job as well, and so it took a little bit of patience to wait for our food order to come through for some of us last night, in certain theaters when I was there, but you could tell that they were doing their best to go above and beyond to give you the service that is expected. The restrooms were clean and new, and adequate in size, not luxury size but modern and sufficient. I took quite a few photos of this dine-in-theater so be sure to see my photos, as well as a photo of my food that I had ordered. We enjoyed this theater and we look forward to returning there again when we want to see a movie and dine in our seats at the same time.
