The museum of the history of this tiny waterfront hamlet is housed in their old general store. The building itself is interesting, but I was really touched by the obvious love & pride that the town's citizens have poured into this little museum! Please, do yourself a favor. Get off the highway, take the road to this local history museum (open seasonally - check their website), and explore this place upstairs & down. Let you kids see what shopping was like before malls, big-box stores, and the internet. Upstairs from the general store section are rooms with local history exhibits. I just wish I could have spent more time here, but I will certainly return.
