This is a locally owned and operated business that has the best peaches, apples and produce in season. These items are grown on premises. The homemade apple butter is very good. They carry a large variety of other items and are easily accessible off of Rt. 53.

I havge been to the orchard many many times. I love their fresh peaches,grown by Terry and Barbara as well as their pepper,string beans and all other vegatables. Barbara makes the best home made bread. My husband does not like white bread and will only eat hers.Their home made jams are mouth watering,,especially the apple butter on oatmeal on a cold day. Try them ,,you will not be sorry.

On our way back from hiking the Heritage Trail on an early autumn morning, we stopped at Fruit Hill Orchard. Compared to some of the larger operations outside of Charlottesville (like Carter Mountain Orchard), it's very small, but they have an adorable gift shop & plenty of apples for sale (two types of apples for sale when we visited, along with jams & jellies, apple butter, fresh tomatoes, caps & t-shirts). The only thing they seemed to be lacking was juice and cider for sale (but a small closed stand near the gift shop looked like where drinks are sold when business is busier -- perhaps on the weekends). They aren't open year-round -- only for the short apple season in the fall -- but if you're in the Palmyra area that time of year, looking for a place to pick or buy fresh apples, or looking for a nice place to stop for a picnic (they have picnic tables near the parking area where you can eat before or after your apple picking adventure), this might be just the place you were looking for.
