fisher's hill

Just off of Rte 11 (Old Valley Pike) sits Fisher's Hill Battlefield. This area is largely undeveloped with 2 interpretive signs, a mowed path allowing visitors to walk to the top of the "Gibraltar of the Shenandoah", and the iconic split rail fence that can be found at nearly all Civil War battlefields. The site has no facilities but is close enough to Strausburg and Tom's Brook (both Civil War battlefields in their own right) to snag a beverage or snack. The sign on the very top of the hill is weather-worn and unreadable and hopefully will be replaced in the near future.
