We were only in Staunton for one night and happened to see the brewery were hosting a comedy night. It turned out to be a really great night. The beers- lots of them- were delicious and the comedy show (courtesy of 'laughmeisters.com') was exceptional. A true treat.

Big fan of the Batch #42 Strong Ale and the 221 Baker Brown. The setting is a little shop with an open floor plan and small to medium seating area. The bar itself has chairs fanning around it. For some odd reason Virginia discourages people ordering a meal while at a brewery???, so there is a food truck outside or nearby. You can bring in food bought elsewhere. But, they can sell small things like bags of Route 11 (local) potato chips. The sweet potato flavor goes well with the Bath # 42. It is more rustic than I like, but my sweetie find it comfortable just as it is. One of these days, I'd like to be able to stay for music. Owner is will to talk about his brewing experiences, which adds great color commentary to how each beer got its name and the discovery process of coming up with a recipe. I like the place and my sweetie loves it.
