We love our local Library. They offer meeting rooms, children's programs, adult programs and classes, Internet access, printer access, a large DVD and music collection and loads of books. My children enjoy going about once every other week to check out books and movies. The folks that work here are pleasant and helpful. Very clean. They have a parking lot. They are closed on Sundays.

Very nice library. The staff are very friendly. They have a large selection of books. Their children's section is great and they provide activities for young children. They have nice collection displays that are also fun to look at. They also have some books for sale at very cheap prices.

Great location- walking distance from downtown. Staff are friendly and helpful. The meeting rooms are spacious and adequately arranged with plenty of chairs and tables. Bathrooms are clean.

This is the best library I have ever been to in a small town! They have books on every subject we could think of (from mysteries for me to the crafting books for my daughter). The staff was very accommodating - even providing my husband a quiet place to work. We spent a lot of time in the kid section in the basement & the activities they offered for children was amazing.

The Staunton Public Library is in a beautiful old school building near the center of the Victorian downtown. They have a wide variety of traditional library sources (print and video) but have also expanded into the Internet Age. They have a wonderful children's collection and have terrific programs for little ones.

I love the way all the county and city libraries are connected. One stop 'shopping' for all the reader's needs. Thanks

The Staunton Public Library was built as a school in 1916, has undergone some renovation over time, but is essentially still an old building with lovely woodwork inside and a somewhat fragmented arrangement, but there are helpful staff who can help find anything. For vacationers looking for someplace quiet to relax, perhaps let the kids play quietly, read the local papers, it is ideal. Plentiful free parking, easy to find at a corner of two main streets. The lower floor has a large collection of children's books and a play area with toys for toddler age, where they can play while parents enjoy a book or free wi-fi computer time at a table close by. County residency is required to borrow materials, but anyone can spend as much time as they like in the library, which makes it a great stop on a rainy day to learn about Staunton and the local area. A nice place for some quiet (and cost-free) relaxation.
