Enjoyable wine tasting -- good number of wines to try, but on the high-end of Virginia prices. On a Thursday had the winery to ourselves, which was fun since we could talk more with the pourer. Bought their hand-bottled Apparition - port-style wine -- for a gift. House supposedly is haunted by four different people, so evening tastings are given a few times a year to hear more about the history of the house.

Driving down the beautiful tree lined lane to the winery, you begin to realize you are in for something special. The Manor House is gorgeous!! The owners are fun and could not be any nicer. Their wines are delicious. I cannot wait for their soon to be released Merlot, Valerie Hill offers a one of a kind Haunting Dinner. The dinner is so much fun, interesting and informative. Lots of Civil War history comes with this house. The views from Valerie Hill are spectacular. Stephens City needed a winery. Valerie Hill was worth the wait!!!

If you like to visit wineries on classic old estates you should check this one out. 1807 estate has been tastefully restored with a beautiful outdoor fire pit( you may need to reserve ths in advance). If you are lucky, they will have great live entertainment ( we saw a terrific guitar/singer ). Wines are very good for Virginia and they Los offer local cheeses in a tastefully done basket.

Valerie Hill is large home built in 1807, and its beautiful inside. It's an awesome place to do a tasting and clearly a popular place to drink wine with friends, judging by the crowd. And how can you go wrong when you also sell chili & cornbread. But the biggest plus is the wine. We literally liked everything we tasted and took 3 bottles home with us. One of our new favorite wineries.

Found this winery just cruising the backroads a little South of Winchester VA. Beautiful and Charming OLD home that has been restored and turned into a wonderful winery/tasting house. Grounds are scenic, staff is very Friendly, wines are yummy (especially for a rather new winery). We got some food after our tasting...they had chili and cornbread along with a glass of their Cab Franc...very tasty. Sat in one of the rooms while we ate, and listened to wonderful guitar and singing from a very talented young man (young compared to me anyways), I think his name was 'John' (if I recalled incorrectly, please forgive me). We loved your guitar and vocals! We also got the 'fruit' pie...Combination of strawberry, rhubarb, apple...hoememade and delicious. If you are ever in the area CHECK THEM OUT!

The wines are really great, cozy atmosphere. Outdoor area is spread out, with shady trees, great seating capacity, and entertainment most weekends! A really great find. Not a "commercial" type winery at all, reasonable numbers of people, not a boisterous place. Perfect for get-togethers with friends.

Beautiful drive into the country. Historical home. Live, acoustic guitar with Robbie Limon. Robbie is a very talented musician. Didn't feel rushed during tasting and the wines were quite nice! I bought several bottles and would buy more! Very relaxing Sunday afternoon! Definitely a place to go back to! Very nice weekend in the Winchester, VA area!

We have been here several times and always look forward to going back. The outdoor space is wonderful - there is a lovely patio out back, tables, and plenty of open space to sit and stay a while. There's even a cute little swing to enjoy the view from. The inside of the house is historically wonderful and I love that you can find a quiet room to sit and enjoy. Wine and food are reasonably priced, but you can always bring your own goodies to munch on. The owners are extremely friendly and are happy to answer your questions about the venue or any of their wines.

The owners are excellent host, unpretentious atmosphere. The driveway is enchanting, I felt like I was driving under a canopy of trees. The wine is great, I love The Seyval Blanc. The historical facts just add to my experience every time I go. Love the fire pits and music

We went on a Monday but being a Federal Holiday we were looking for something local to do. Enjoyed the wines and the location. The House is beautiful and history of the place interesting. Shawn took time to answer all our questions and let us look around. We will be back soon I am sure.

We have been several times and always have a good time. The Seyval Blanc is nice but we really like the Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc the best. The house has a lot of history and I highly recommend the "History and Hauntings" that they do. We did it last month and it was just incredible! I showed up with a "ho hum" and left with an "OMG!!!"

The Manor House White is my favorite. The mansion is redone with impeccable taste and is very warm and inviting. The owner's are really great, the music is fantastic. A great place to relax!

We were not expecting much from this new winery and only tried it because we were staying nearby, but it turns out to be a lovely place with very drinkable wines. Most of the many other visitors enjoyed the several sweet options, but we were pleasantly surprised at the Cab Franc and Petit Verdot, quite dry and paired nicely with the cheese and salamis they sell for snacking on site. The winery building is a revolutionary war era house with numerous rooms in which to enjoy a glass (or bottle) and snack. In the warm weather I'm sure the outdoor seating with views of the fields and would be delightful.

Nights out with the girls are hard to come by with kids, this place offers a beautiful setting and great wine for weekend days. The tastings and service was great, came with great stories of the winery's history. We bought a few bottles and headed outside to enjoy a picnic on the picnic tables. Great experience overall, we will be back!

This is a nice winery in Stephens City, VA that offers what I think are quality wines. They are pricey so I do wish that they would comp the $8 tasting fee if you buy a $23-30 bottle to drink onsite as this has been my experience at other VA wineries. There are different rooms to sit in to sip your wine. They also have food to buy although the rooms aren't very food friendly in terms of having to slice bread or cheese because of lack of tables. There are plenty of tables outside. They are open late Fridays which is great and usually have live music. They also have fire pits and have smore kits for purchase.
