If you want to learn something new like kite surfing or just take a leisurely pontoon boat ride try Tula Adventure Sports before summer ends. Tula is about 8 miles from the ocean front on Marina Shores Drive. It is well worth the drive or taxi ride to help this young lady prosper in her start up business. Look them up tulasports .com or call 757-502-8852

Our family wanted to go on 2 to 3 hour gentle kayaking trip without being in a group so we could take our time.Tula Sports was able to meet our needs. We had a good time kayaking up the Bay and Long Creek. The person who drove us to our departure point was very friendly and had good tips for us.We had a great time kayaking and appreciated Tula Sports working with us to find just the right experience for our family.

I booked the pontoon boat last minute for just my husband and myself. We had the entire boat to ourselves and it was AMAZING. We rode out into the Chesapeake bay, saw dolphins, went swimming, and toured the Lynnhaven river and broad bay. Isa was our captain, and she couldn't have been nicer. We're locals, and by the end of our ride we were scheduling kayak lessons with her. This was just the first trip of many for us!

I went with a group of my friends for a Mom's Night Out. The guides were so friendly and helpful. Once we hopped on the boards, they let us do our own thing while still staying close if we had questions. I'm pretty sure I found a new way to exercise. I can't wait for my next trip out on the water!

I went on an excursion with a group of friends, most doing it for the first time. Our guides were very helpful and attentive. We had beautiful sunset views as we paddled through seashore state park. Such a great time. Already made reservations for their Sunset on the bay excursion next!!!

I have booked group excursions with Tula several times, and they never disappoint. They go all out to be sure you have a good time. Last night we had a great Mom's Night Out paddle along Long Creek, and everyone had a blast! Perfect for beginners and experienced paddlers alike. It's the best view of First Landing State Park you can get.

Three 40-somethings in the Virginia Beach area for business adding fun to the otherwise boring trip by booking an adventure with Tula Adventure. The owner, Isa, helped craft a special afternoon with a paddleboard session followed by a ride on the pontoon boat and lunch at the nearby marina. None of us had ever been near a paddleboard so the adventure was both exciting and a little daunting. Isa took great care of us by demonstrating the proper/healthy way to paddle and ride the board. We were given plenty of time to practice before heading out into the water. Our excursion (on a Tuesday afternoon in mid May 2014) was peaceful and calm as Isa paddled along with us pointing out attractions. Isa was also training a new employee that day and it was obvious to us that she possesses a strong knowledge of the waterways and boating rules. We all felt safe, well cared for, and heck...had lots of fun. If only we were closer to Virginia Beach, there'd be more visits to Tula to paddleboard. Thanks Isa (if your reading). Wishing you and your crew all the best in your own adventures.

We did the two hour excursion and really enjoyed it. It was a little delayed due to the tour guide bringing the wrong key for the trailer. It was no big deal and they didn't cut us short or rush it.The instructor was really nice and helpful. I had never done SUP before and picked it up pretty quickly. I'm actually interested in purchasing an SUP now.

Two of us went with Isa for a two hour ride dolphin watching. She is knowledgeable about the area, very accommodating, friendly, and easy going. Because we love dogs we suggested she bring her sweet golden doodle and she did... All the better. We packed a cooler with food and drinks which were accepted without comment. They even lent me a hat! We saw the Chesapeake bay beach at the mouth of the Bay and went there the next day. This was a personal and fun trip especially good for couples and pontoon boat people. Is a will inform you of local places to eat as we'll. ( you have to ask)

Found this place in one of the vacation catalogs given out all over VA beach. Owner was more than accommodating and the area (marina) for our first try was calm with beautiful scenery. Would so recommend!

I signed up for a one-hour private paddleboard lesson because I always wanted to give it a try. After some instructions on the dock, I was on the board and on my way. My instructor was awesome. She was super knowledgeable and gave me pointers the whole time. I was amazed at how quickly I got the hang of it. The best $45 I've ever spent! I can't wait to try one of their tours. I will definitely be going back to Tula to buy my own board. Highly recommended!

We were in Virginia Beach last week and were interested in learning to SUP. I called Tula Adventure Sports two days ahead of time to make a reservation for the morning of July 25th. Our tour time was 9:30am and our tour guide's name was Will. Our family of four (two boys ages 12 and 14) were the only ones scheduled in that tour, so it was a like our own private lesson and tour. We left most of our stuff in the car, but they gave us a blue bin to put our shoes, towels, and keys in while we were gone. Will took us to the dock and explained how to get on the paddleboard, how to stand, how to paddle, etc. and then we were off with him for a 2 hour tour down along the shore of the state park in their area. He said it was about a 3 mile excursion and we stopped about halfway through to get off and swim and rest our legs. He explained about the area and some of the birds as we went along. Another employee met us at the other end of our excursion and brought us our blue bin and drove us back to the shop where started and had parked our car. It was a great day. We all loved it and would definitely do it again. The tour was $65 a person. Don't forget to tip them! The only recommendation I'd have for them is to have some bottled water in the van when they pick you up. It's only a ten minute drive back to the office where you could purchase a drink, but it would have been nice once we got off the boards. Highly recommend them.
