Very beautiful scenery as well as very educational. Love that they have live animals as well as displays. Definitely coming back!

I work in another state as an environmental educator. I'm very glad I checked out this place while I was in the area... it was quite wonderful. The exhibits are very attractive and informative, with lots of attention to detail. Their wide variety of live native turtles especially impressed me. Everything was very clean. To top it off, admission is completely free. What's not to love?

This is a small "park". There is a stocked pond for fishing, swings and a walking trail. There is a small aquarium, good for small children. Anyone over 10 will be bored!

One of Henrico County's gem of a park. It features the only aquarium in the area and offers beautiful walks around the lakes.

I walk around these lakes in all seasons. The paths are well-maintained and there's also a playground for toddlers. The nature center is very well designed with a glass-walled aquarium at eye level with the center lake. There are several interesting exhibits, helpful guides, clean restrooms and a water fountain.

Playground, pond, live exhibits and no charge. We were there as part of a cub scout pack outing. Overall a nice place to visit and picnic.

Great little place to visit. Plenty of paths to walk along, however, be careful because some are quite tiny with limited space. All the lakes within this small park are a wonderful place to take a break for an afternoon. Other than a large jungle gym for the kids to play on there is also a small nature museum, which I believe is free that holds various animals. If I recall correctly the museum is not open on Mondays. Enjoy!!

Had a fun time throwing football on a August afternoon. The nature center is a great place to walk the kids through to learn. Friendly staff.

This was an adorable, clean and free park and aquarium. Lots to do here for a full day of fun. Bring your lunch and have a picnic.

We stopped here when we got to town, expecting just a small playground. We found a large playground designed for 5-12 year-olds and a small playground designed for the under-5 crowd. There were clean bathrooms and a water fountain, and the playground was really well-maintained. The Nature Center is small but neat. There are live animals, though the enclosures are very small, and there seemed to be an impressive amount of algae growth in the aquarium. There are also bathrooms and water fountains in the Nature Center. There are, in fact, three lakes at this park, and nature trails go all around. What turned out to be just a stop to stretch our legs turned into a two-hour rest stop!

We went when it wasn't too hot or too chilly. It was perfect out! Great date place. Just me, him, and nature. Who can complain?! =)

What a gem in Richmond! The aquarium is geared toward toddlers to elementary school. The play ground is first rate! The playground has plenty of open area around it so keeping track of your kids is easy. You feel really safe here. There are tons of walking paths that would be great for biking too, especially biking for kids. We had a picnic under a big shelter that sat right in front of one of the small lakes. Fishing is allowed near this shelter too. Great value since all you spend is your time!!!!!

Lots to see and do at this park! Have a picnic with an option of a covered pavilion.. Enjoy the trails..fish and play on two separate playgrounds! There is a nature center with local amphibians and displays..which opens at 12 and is air conditioned. The bathrooms near the playgrounds were clean and also has a few picnic tables located near by. Enjoy!

My sister took me here years ago and I was astounded. It's so close to the city but so country and removed in feeling. A great place to walk dogs around the lakes. And the aquarium is a hidden gem.

We have an annual picnic at Three Lakes Park. I always try to get there before the aquarium closes. The displays are interesting and informative.
