I was disappointed because they've crammed so many things into their space that you can hardly walk around. I was hoping to take my elderly aunt with her walker through the marketplace, but there was just no room for her to maneuver... it's overly cramped. Plus, I expected more unique hand-crafted items and mainly found expensive mass-produced things... many looked like they were made in China. Maybe that's what they display at Christmas time... I hope to find better quality items another time. I'll check it out later.

I am sorry this your perception of what happened. We have a very large store and sales staff responsible for each area. You were completely correct that we have only one person (currently) working the room for Norwalk. You were also correct that it is an amazing line of furniture! You and your friend were in 2 days ago, and after you left your sales associate came to me and was upset with your dissatisfaction of our representation of the line. This is surprising as so many people are blown away daily by our Norwalk room and the depth of the line we are able to show. You were primarily "looking" for recliners and verbally expressed your dissatisfaction in the fact we only had the one on the floor. We have the one recliner and one swivel rocker on the floor. Motion pieces and Recliners are not a top selling style for our store, we have limited square footage as the lines we carry are substantial, so we currently feel that is the quantity that is good for us based on our general customers needs. We will certainly keep in mind your suggestion of having more in the future. As for the suggestion of hiring more staff this is our belief... We would rather have fewer, yet more knowledgeable sales people and if she was given the opportunity your sales associate would have been more than happy to help you with the line. We want our customers to feel relaxed, browse, and enjoy our store. I am truly sorry you apparently drive over an hour to find our selection was not meeting your expectations, but I feel after speaking with your sales associate that the nature of your interaction was in line with your review and had intentions of fairing on the negative.Grant Conlee, owner, 979-779-3245

Love this place! Always has "new" old stuff to take a gander at if you are shopping for a gift for someone special or if that someone special just happens to be you! Also a good place to get ideas for all you DIYers out there. Great fun shopping!

The Old Bryan Marketplace is a great place to find unique items for gifts, home decorations, and antique furniture. Kay Conlee runs a great operation, and the staff are friendly and helpful. When in Bryan, drop in and check it out. And while you are at it, go next door and have lunch at Madden's.

Great store with many antiques. Always something new when I am there. Every time I come to Texas I stop in Bryan. I love it because they had all their Christmas trees up and they were all different. Very unique and set up so well, makes you want to visit over and over.

This is my favorite place to shop in Downtown Bryan. Especially around Christmas time! The staff is friendly and helpful, and the owner, Ms. Kay is just a dear! A definite must see when you're in the Bryan-College Station area!

The Bryan marketplace has an eclectic array of items for sale, all from different vendors but found in one large store. Next door is a wonderful place to eat called Maden's.

Lots of unique items for the home or gifts - furnishings, clothes, housewares, toiletries, etc. It was very nicely decorated for the Christmas holiday when we were there.

This store is right on Main street and is a delightful store -- it even has a restaurant inside it for when you need a break. A charmingly eclectic mix of merchandise from notecards to furnishings, there is always something to tempt you, whatever your budget. If you are in the area, do not miss this store. And if you aren't in the area, you might want to go there anyway!
