We drove the walking tour since the temperature was near 100 degrees at the time. However that didn't stop us from enjoying seeing all of the interesting homes and reading about them in the brochure from the Chamber of Commerce. They are so unique!

Stop at the visitor center and pick up the visitor's guide. Then stroll around admiring the homes and buildings as they were built in the 1800's and in excellent condition. There are a few cute places to stop and shop along the walk.

We were able to walk most of the Historic Walking Tour area in less than 2 hours, including shopping. Everything is fairly close together with historical buildings and marked sites dating back to the mid 1800's. There were quaint shops interlaced as well, which made for an enjoyable afternoon stroll after lunch. Recommended*

On a chilly day, this was a driving tour for us. We were amazed at the high percentage of 19th century homes & buildings in this little town. Good if you are interested in Alsatians, history, or architecture; not if you are looking for excitement. Plenty for photographers, too.

Absolute fun! The history is richly available and there are such a varied array of sights. The buildings are well maintained, the tour seems very safe to walk, the history is abundant. I had so much fun on this beautiful day. Rarely do I repeat experiences since there is so much to see and do in this life, but I would highly consider returning to this attraction. Wear comfortable shoes!
