Love this place! This is my go to spot for meeting friends and hanging out in Denton! They have tons of beers on tap and good liquor specials . During the winter time they make some mean hot drinks! Yum!

Oak Street Drafthouse and Cocktail Parlor is absolutely amazing. They took the third oldest house in Denton and turned it into a bar. Not just a bar, but a bar with 72 beer taps offering local brews, craft beer from around the country, and exotic imports. I suppose you could go there and order a Bud Light, but it's not really that kind of place. There is a large outdoor seating area with picnic tables, cable spool tables, and a ping pong table. This is where you'll find the majority of the patrons. You'll find a diverse cross section of the population at this place. There will be plenty of hipsters and hippies, a plethora of bushy beards, cowboys, frat guys, plenty of tattoos, and there always seems to be one guy in a suit. There is no food available for purchase at the bar, but there are options. They don't mind if you have a pizza delivered, there is also a nearby deli that delivered, and there are often food trucks nearby. They also don't mind if you bring your own food. The only complaint I have about the place is that it's really a fair weather joint. Since it is built in an old (very old) house, there isn't a lot of room inside. 20-30 people is about all that can comfortably hang out in there. If it's hot, cold, or raining, the outdoor area isn't too pleasant. Fortunately, the Same folks own another bar just across the street with more indoor seating...and it has even more beer on tap! OSDH&CP is our beer garden home away from home. The concept is simple... turn a really old house into a bar, change close to nothing about it, hire some cool young folks & offer a crap-load of delicious beers! Like over 100!!! There is "the wall" which lists the mind blowing beers offered on tap at the moment (yes! It changes!!) but if your not sure what to try, tell the bartenders what you typically go for & let them give you a taster of their suggestions for you. They also offer flights for the adventurous beer lovers, must admit I've found I like some beers I never would of tried otherwise! They do not serve food, but up front some local places hve left menus & some will even deliver it right to you! We always go for some Mellow Mushroom pizza but recently Weinberger's Deli was offering free subs out back & everything we tried was amazing! The house is quaint & cozy & there are always board games you can bust out with your friends. The prize is the huge backyard beer garden though with old lawn chairs & picnic tables. On weekends they open up their outside bar that has a great variety as well. Bring your dog if it's friendly, they even have water dishes for your thirsty fur-baby.
