Pleasantly surprised to find this trendy wine tasting bar in historic Fort Stockton on a Sunday afternoon. Upscale. It was fun to taste Texas wines from the largest wine producer in the state of Texas. We purchased several bottles. Comparable to CA, WA, OR wine of equal price,$10-$20 a bottle. Sorry I think I referred to this place as the Grey Moose in my Ft Stockton hotel review. It was the wine talking.

We called in the Grey Mule en route from San Antonio to Big Bend, although nothing more than somewhere to break up the journey it was a very pleasant experience. We tasted a number of wines and indulged in a cheese board, all of which were nice enough and we ended up buying 4 bottles to take on our journey. Staff were friendly as were the locals who frequent there on a friday evening. Would have loved to have spent more time (and drank more wine) here if i wasn't driving on.

A wonderful way to relax and spend an hour with a flight of Texas wines. Historic setting, West Texas hospitality and some nice wines. Try the cheese plate!

We were exploring the old town and came across this historic building which had advertised wine tasting, so we went in for a look. What we found was a historic building converted into a very nice local St Genevieve wine tasting room with snacks. A surprise was we enjoyed the wine and even bought a mixed case of red wine. The staff was very pleasant and friendly. Even though it was crowded the noise level was not too loud. They will also have some live music from time to time. You can sit outside on a very nice patio when the weather is good.

Can sample local wines. Local wines are recommended by staff and have good flavor. Atmosphere is quaint. Small place located across the street from the annie riggs museum.

My fiance and I visited the Grey Mule yesterday. It was fabulous. The staff was very friendly, the tastes were a good price, and the tasting room, as well as the back patio was very pretty. While it is pretty, it is also a relaxed atmosphere. This is a perfect place to come with a friend, by yourself, or to host an event. I also really appreciated that they did not treat us differently, considering we had been riding our bikes all morning, and were wearing gym clothes. If you are coming through Ft. Stockton, or are from a near-by city, you should definitely check this place out.

We were pleased to find this place open on a Sunday afternoon in anotherwise sleepy West TX town. Great deals for tastings, and we tried a glass of our favorite one. Local regulars and everyone there was so friendly and welcoming. A very interesting building also. This room is owned by St. Genevieve winery which is about 20 miles away and not open to the public. Can purchase bottles there as well, and I got the t-shirt! They have a lovely patio and I hear they are planning some live music from time to time. Give it a try!

Looking to find a nice place to soak in the ambiance of Ft. Stockton, we came upon this place and were very pleasantly surprised. A wine tasting and a couple of glasses later, a nice late afternoon on the patio, and some pleasant conversation topped this visit. This building is an old restored bar, nicely done as well, and attractively refurbished. This is a tasting room for the St. Genevieve winery nearby and a good stop for those who seek the best of Ft. Stockton!
