Warren is very knowledgeable, laid back, and has great stories while presenting an excellent variety of wines. We had fun.

We had a wine tasting with Warren and it was fantastic. He is so knowledgable about wine! We tasted 6 wines and learned more than I had in years. My philosophy is if I like the wine, I drink it, but Warren taught me why I like different wines. Our time in Johnson City was well worth every minute!

Stopped by when we saw the "wine tastings" sign out front and wandered in to this sweet little place. Looked over the cool jewelry, and we were on to the tasting. The owner surprised us by having a very nice selection of wines from around the world, starting with a nice Shiraz from South Africa. I liked that he asked us our preferences in wine for the pours, instead of a stock list that he followed. We left with several bottles of wine and the intention to return again soon.

I enjoyed spending time here as part of an art walk and wine tasting. The art ranges in price but is affordable, and the handmade jewelry is very interesting with lots of styles to choose from. You can find something here you will love to own.

We took a wine tour and they made this one of our stops. It was the highlight of our tour. From the outset it looks like a small bar in an art gallery and it is, but the knowledge of Warren the sommelier behind the bar makes it all worth it. If you're serious about wine and/or want to really know more about them, then this is a definite stop to make.We tasted wines from all over the world along with local wines, from every region and every varietal of grape. Warren has personally selected boutique wines that are difficult if not impossible to find at home or outside the wineries. We couldn't have been more impressed with his selection, but mostly with the detailed knowledge he shared about every wine, it's varietal, region and the winemakers. My wife is a former sommelier from Brazil and she felt this was the highlight of our Texas wine country visit and thoroughly enjoyed speaking with Warren and tasting his wines, including a fortified wine he was making himself. We will be back, with friends soon.

A fun place to while away a couple of hours or relax after a day in and around the Johnson City, Blanco area. The atmosphere is relaxed, the art is easy on the eye the wine selection is quite surprising, being from all over the world and not just local (although the Texas wines are really quite good). The owner is very laid back and the artists are on hand to answer questions or just chat. They don't serve food but guests are welcome to take their own to accompany any wine they purchase. Well worth stopping by and we will definitely go again and take friends next time.

If you're touring the Texas hill country, be sure to stop by Taste Wine and Art. The Texas artists represented are first rate. There is a large handcrafted jewelry collection. They have a wine bar with many labels represented. It's located on the square in Johnson City which has a lovely old courthouse. The overall experience is very nice. You can make a day of art and wine-tasting between Fredericksburg and Johnson City.

Local Johnson City art gallery with wine bar on the historic town square. Friendly patrons and fun atmosphere to take friends and family. Eclectic art inventory, jewelry and wines. Great place to see the annual Christmas Light parade!

Wine and art.... you cannot go wrong! The owners are fun and obviously enjoy what they do. The art is great (all TX artists) and the wine is great! While they may carry some labels I have seen before, they carry varieties that you can only buy there... which makes your visit super special! and for those not so close, they mentioned they are in the process of opening an online store..... score! Include this place in your list of places to go, you will not be disappointed!

Susan and her husband have created a beautiful Gallery and Wine Tasting spot. This was my first wine tasting. They went over all of the "Tasting Basics". The Gallery is a very comfortable and inviting space to be in. And, I found an interesting/one of a kind pendant. If you are in Johnson City and you are looking for an intimate and friendly wine tasting experience - this is it. The Gallery is full of beautiful artwork and they have a nice patio area for relaxing and drinking your wine.

Patty... We are so sorry to hear of your disappointment. We do carry some Texas wines for the convenience of people who are specifically looking for Texas wines. These ARE available elsewhere but we do it as a favor for the customers who want them. We do not make any claims that those particular wines are hard to find. Other than those, we specialize in wines that are unavailable at the big box stores, usually because they are small batches or from small wineries, and in short supply. Our distributors know this and promise to provide us (Texas law requires that we buy from a distributor) with only those specialty items. Lots of the BRANDS that we carry ARE available elsewhere but the varietals and the vintage years that we have, are not. Please let us know which wines you found elsewhere so that we can check the years and exact varietals against what we carry. We have been assured that none of ours are readily available elsewhere.

We were introduced to Taste Wine + Art by our hosts at the Bed and Breakfast we stayed at. Great friendly and welcoming people, they made us feel like one of the family. Great place to end the day and enjoy the art while trying some different wines. Very helpful recommending vineyards in the area. Definitely stopping in next time we are in the area.

This place was one of, if not, the BEST Wine and Art Gallery businesses out of Johnson City, TX. I've been around Texas. I've been around the world. If you're seeking a hidden gem for a small business with strong local drive, you will find one in Johnson City: Wine + Art. Owned by a wise couple filled with knowledge about what's happening with the wine industry in Texas, unique artworks from acrylic, photography, outdoor sculptures, live local music, (plus, free wine tastings on the casual hour) - just incredible, wholesome service. Good folks that look forward to meeting you and sharing with you their wine inventory and artistic pursuits. I highly recommend it should you ever pass through Johnson City - even if it's on a rainy day.

My husband and I booked a wine/brewery tour through Heart of Texas Wine Tours and our driver Darrell suggested this stop. It ended up being one of our favorite stops of the day. Warren was very nice, very knowledgable and very easy going. Taste Wine & Art is a must visit if you are planning a wine tour in the near future.
