I attended a lunch meeting of the Kiwanis Club at the Kerrville Salvation Army Croc center today. Although I live in Kerrville, I have not visited this location before. I was absolutely amazed. The lunch was delicious, and I was not expecting much for a meeting of this type The building is extremely attractive. I know they host lunch and breakfast meetings for a number of local non-profit groups. However, it offers so much more. They have a 16 acre campus with jogging tracts, outdoor pool and more. In the main 48,00 sq. feet building they have a fitness center, rooms for dance and exercise, class rooms, a dining hall, a chapel and more. Guests are welcomed and can purchase short term passes for your stay in Kerrville. Check it out if you are in Kerrville, Texas.

I use the exercise area three days a week. Equipment is well maintained and personnel are helpful and polite. I have also attended a banquet on the premises. Food was excellent, service outstanding. I will host a banquet in February for my organization.

This building is very impressive, in a super location for the community, has an incredible staff, serves a very good lunch and has marvelous facilities. Kerrville is fortunate to have this community center. Thank you Joan Kroc.

These Kroc Centers are spread out all over the US, but this was a surprise in the small town of Kerrville. It has has a fitness center and worship center and many acitivites for kids of all ages.We visited just for the pool. What an awesome pool! Besides a spot to actually swim, there was a rock climbing wall, a curly slide and a 'thing' in the center where you could squirt your neighbor and a HUGE bucket that would fill with water and the dump over on swimmers. So much fun!The rock climbing wall was the first I have seen in a pool. Once you reached as far as possible, just turn loose and fall into the water. The curly slide was HUGE and the curly slide part was long...kids had fun over and over and over. For big kids the huge and I mean HUGE bucket that filled with water and dumped over on them led to lots of smiles and giggles. There was a smaller umbrella with smaller buckets that dumped over on big and little kids alike. The BEST news is that you do not have to join the center to visit. You can pay and visit whenever you are passing through town. This is great for the many visitors in town and also for kids that come to visit grandma and grandpa. Great way to burn off energy. There were several attentive life guards on duty as well.We only spent an hour and 1/2 there but we easily could have spent another hour or two. Fanastic place!!
