aquafly austin - a flyboard experience

I recently purchased a groupon for an hour and a half aquafly lesson. Unbelievably fun. It takes a little leap of faith to be strapped in but you are one on one with the instructor who runs the throttle via the skidoo. Jake worked with me giving me pointers and laughing with me during my less than graceful trials. But by the end of the lesson I was able to get up consistently and had a great time. Can't wait to go back and improve my skills.

I bought a Groupon for this activity--it looked SO cool that I had to try it. I went with my friend (who is much more athletic than I am). We were able to go out and "fly" one at a time. While this was really fun, it's not for the faint of heart!! I did several face plants and was only able to "fly" for a few seconds (but again, had a blast!) My friend did much better than I did. He was able to stay up for a while. The owner did a great job of training us and instructing us on safety. If you're looking for some adventure, I'd definitely recommend this activity!!
