Awesome professional staff....pure luxury and serenity. This is a perfect place for a girl's weekend...

We had a couple's massage (our first one ever) with Vicki and Esther. It was a Swedish massage and was relaxing and we thoroughly enjoyed it. After the couple's massage I had a 2 hour manicure and pedicure that Michelle did. I have arthritis in my hands and feet so when I saw the description of it I knew I had to have one. I was not disappointed. Michelle did a great job, the warm gloves and paraffin treatment to my hands felt good and she did a good job with my pedicure as well. When we visit Escondida Resort again we will definitely be scheduling services with the spa.

If you're interested in relaxing, you've found the place!! I've worked in spas and salons for over 12 years and was completely impressed with our experience. Michelle gave me one of the best facials I've ever had and my husband joined me for a couples package with Vicki and Rose. These ladies made our experience! You can't stay at Escondida and not take advantage of the spa!! We had such a fantastic experience and are already planning a return trip!

We were in separate rooms. Very professional. Excellent massage. My husband if not too fond of massages, but he liked this one.

Loved my massage and scrub. The scrub was superior to any I've had. Vicky was my masseuse. She was caring and professional. One younger masseuse talked too much to my cousin during her massage. I'm sure if my cousin would have said something, that would not have been a problem.

The service is just awesome !!!!!! Vicky is a very sweet lady! The friends I was with had Rosé and they said she was awesome also!

Not quite as lux as we thought from the pictures on the Sunday morning show. Kind of a small place. Spa staff was very friendly.

If you have never been to La Escondida you need to get there as soon as possible. This is truly is a true hidden treasure.

With almost 50 years of friendship.....we met in first grade....my friend celebrated by inviting me and treating me to a simply unbelievable weekend at the Spa at Escondida. I had no preconceived notions about the place, only that I wanted to relax and enjoy catching up on old times and memories with my friend.It is just a beautiful place. From the opening gate, to the pathway up to the resort, to the courtyard, the interior, everything.....nothing comparable. It was a perfect place to retreat, relax, renew and unwind. The food was great, staff is wonderful, and my friend and I loved dining with other guests, the social hour before dinner, and most of all, gathering around the firepit to "solve the world's problems" with other guests.And, lest I not forget the Spa! It was my first facial and hot stone massage, and the staff made me feel like a Queen! It was such a special gift from my friend.Escondida is truly one of the priceless gems of Texas. I hope to get my husband to take me back there again someday.Thanks for such a memorable experience! I just wish I could've taken "Lady Andrew" home!

Simply, B&B experiences can be a crap-shoot at best. And Dea and I have stayed at an awful lot - because we like interacting with people - not being stuffed into a hotel room. That said, it is important to note, that occassionally, you run across a gem. Escondida is a SHINY gem. The rooms, the breakfasts AND dinners (thank you Michael, Paula and Aliesha - wow) , the Spa (I recommend Ric by the way - he got rid of backpain in one hour that chiropractors, massage therapists and pain pills could not solve in 15 years - gone - really), the pool, the hot tub, the staff, the wine, the chiminea, the creek by the chiminea, the rams wandering around, the beautiful trees and rolling hills - getting the picture? We will be back often. If you want an extremely relaxing atmosphere dotted with all the elements of paradise, encased in a strong ribbin of romantic interlude and stress-free living - then this is it - in spades.....

Escondida means Hidden, but if you ever get the chance to see and stay at the Spa AT Escondida It is Wonderful!!! From the time you arrive the beautiful setting. The Hacienda, the peaceful surrounding, deer, rams etc roaming free to see Spectacular!!!The staff, accomodations, the Food (Breakfast & dinner served) MMM So delicious!! Then treat your self to the many spa treatments. Inspire yourself to the beauty and take lots of photo's. The quests are always fun and friendly. This is the best known secret of Texas!!!! Bob Phillips did an excellent job in creating this wonderful place. Christy Carnes runs this place spectacular and is so friendly you feel like family.I rate this place an A+ and hope to be able to come back again!!!Suzan WrightAllen, Texas
