A quiet look out over the Nacogdoches valley and surrounding area. There are two covered picnic tables with bbq pits to boot.

Driving from Houston to Shreveport with two of my sons we came upon this overlook and turned around to check out the view and take a short break from driving. There is easy access in and out of the overlook even when pulling a trailer as we were. The area was well maintained and clean with picnic tables and trash receptacles. We were lucky that there were wildflowers and trees in bloom at the time and there was a nice little wooden fence that would make for a good place to do some portrait photos. So, I pulled out my camera and took a few photos while there. A good deposit in the memory bank!

We were driving along Highway 7 East when we came upon this overlook. There is a long narrow uphill drive to the top, where there are several picnic tables, most under shelters. The tables are cement and in good condition. Trash receptacles. We did not see any restrooms. The view is awesome of the area ranches, valley, farms, meadows, some trees. A nice stop on your way to small towns in East Texas, such as Center.
