NYTEX is awesome and has plenty of space and a good restaurant inside with a bar. Two rinks, and a soccer program. Everyone should go and see it. Check out the BHRAMAS

We have been going here for over 13 years, back when it was BlueLine for hockey. My son plays travel hockey and we had many practices, games and private lessons here. When it was new it was an awesome facility with 3 rinks and plenty of space. It is aging and the staff can be very rude here at times too.

The most unprofessional volleyball league I have ever encountered. Very expensive. Non responsive. Poor Managment and unfriendly. I would keep your daughters clear from here.

Been there several times for Brahmas minor league hockey games and it is a great venue. Tickets not expensive and close to the ice from all areas.

We have been here for events several times. There are three arenas in the venue, but there aren’t enough parking spaces to accommodate the venue’s capacity. I have never been there when it hasn’t been difficult to find a legal parking space. I’ve seen cars parked illegally in fire lanes, in No Parking zones along the street, and on the lawn because there simply are not enough parking spaces for the number of people attending the events there. Sometimes they block off a large portion of the parking lot to reserve it for people attending one particular event, leaving people attending others with no place to park. On our most recent visit we were lucky enough to find a spot at the back of the building just as someone was leaving. NYTEX needs to either find some way to expand its parking facilities or adjust the scheduling of events so that there aren’t several drawing large crowds at the same time. It’s not the most comfortable venue for attending an event. There appears to be problems with temperature control. Come prepared for an entire range of temperatures, because you can’t be sure what it’s going to be like in there. On our most recent visit, the arena we were in was so cold that I spent the weekend shivering, even though I was wearing three layers of clothes on the second day. If we had been there for hockey, I would expect it to be cold, but we weren’t. I really felt sorry for the people who had traveled from elsewhere for the tournament, since I know they probably hadn’t packed preparing for temperatures that cold. The previous time we had been there, it had been so unbearably hot that we ended up leaving early. Seating is on metal bleachers. I realize that this makes it easier to pack a lot of people into the space, but it gets very uncomfortable when you’re there for an event that lasts all day or for several days in a row. The restrooms don’t seem to be tended to as frequently as they need to be when the building is being used heavily. Even though there are three arenas, there is only one restroom apiece for women and men, with only a few stalls in each. Sometimes there is no wait, and sometimes the lines are long. Be sure to bring your own toilet paper with you. Sometimes the restrooms are clean and well-stocked, but there are times when I’ve found myself in a stall with no toilet paper on the roll, but plenty of toilet paper and other debris on the floor. It might be an ok venue when there is only one event happening at a time, but every time I have been there, there have been multiple events at the same time. At those times, the facilities seem to be stretched beyond their ability to accommodate the number of people there.

We are an Ice Hockey family & we find it reasonably priced, the staff are very knowledgable & friendly. It is kept clean & they're currently undergoing updates to the facility (i.e. new rubber floors, sliding entry doors, updating the dressing rooms).

Who would expect good Hockey rink(s) in the Birdville school district? This is one, and the staff are friendly and competent. The prices are more than fair for lessons (we had lessons for our 4 year old grandson and he loved it), and the people giving the lessons care about the kids having fun. They were great. It's actually fun for the whole family. Good pizza & beer, and very good prices for the pro hockey games there. It is a comfortable, safe, place to take the family and have a good time.Worth your time to check it out if you haven't already.
