This is a nice big park in the center of suburban Richardson. It has a lot of paved trails for walking, rollerblading or bicycling. There are also open areas for flying kites, playing soccer, etc. I usually come here to bicycle or walk my dog. Although you can access the park off of Brand Rd through three entrances: Lot A, B, and C--I think the Lot C entrance is the best location. You have access to multiple trails. If you have children, there is a nice playground there. There is also a large pavilion for larger groups and restrooms nearby and water fountains. If you take the trails down the hill there are several picnic areas near open areas and on the other side among a lot of trees. Much of the park looks a bit plain with the big open spaces but there is some natural area as well as a creek if you head further back into the park. I hesitate to give this a 4 or higher--only because I don't see that much wildlife here and I think that some of the well-maintained open areas of the park--that are probably great for soccer or softball space--could have been managed or initially designed in a way initially to support more wildlife habitat.
