First time to come to this park came with a friend/local who made for a great tour guide. Hiking to the old saw mill was a good experience. Cooling off in the spring on a hot August day was nice but be careful of the algae on the rocks slip and falls are possible. Be sure to bring drinks and snacks cause it a good drive back town.

My family and I enjoy Boykin Springs. The problem is that we all drive from long distances to get there and have to take the chance that there will be group campsites available. Its too risky to have so many people drive such distances and arrive at the camp ground to find that we can't camp together as a family. We plan our outtings months in advance and can't risk losing all our planning at the last and most important step of the trip. We would camp no where else if we could only reserve our campsites.

Needs to upgrade restroom, camping facilities- swimming area was not as fun as it was before. Needs the lake restocked with fish. It was quiet, though!

I absolutely loved this place. We have a drought in our area, so it wasn't as pretty as it will be. There is a small lake to fish and swim in, but I'd think it was too deep for my kids. You can bring your RV as long as it's 24 ft or under, as well as tent camping. Has restrooms. A must see for anyone looking to get out into the forest.
