非常有风格的南美风格的建筑,属于德州独立战中的一个要塞。很值得一去主建筑的教堂保留完好,但是附属建筑已经有些风化了

The large compound that includes the mission is worth an hour visit. The guides are excellent, the church well restored and the grounds are enjoyable to get a full impression of what life was like back then. Parking is convenient and it is free. We walked here along the Mission Trail, while many others came by bike.

We visited over Spring Break on the recommendation of a friend and due to high ratings on tripadvisor and weren't disappointed. Visiting a historical location doesn't usually peak the interest of children, but ours (ranging from 10 - 14) really enjoyed it as there are places to explore and more to see and touch than you can at the Alamo. This mission doesn't get nearly the hype of the Alamo, but is just as nice in its own right. We learned a lot about the multiple missions along the river (including the Alamo) and now have a more complete picture of how they fit together and what their role was, thanks to the informative move which I recommend you watch first. I recommend you go on one of the tours that the volunteer guides lead and allow yourself plenty of time to explore.

This mission is much larger than the famous Alamo and is a must see in my book. There is a great tour available and has many interesting facts on the 30-45 minute tour. The church is great for the period and overall they have done a good job of maintaining it. The views from some of the doors and windows takes you back in time and you don't realize you are in the middle of a large city.

Mission is fairly large and well maintained. The Ranger gave us an informative tour (free but donations accepted). Got a glimpse of what life was like there.

This was on our must do list when we returned to San Antonio. We took the The Alamo Trolley tour to access it; I think we would use another tour company.

Mission San Jose was reached by using the Grand Trolley service. It is greatly restored, and the National Park Service Ranger was very interesting. At the end of the tour, you were given time to explore the Mission on your own. It wasn't a fortress per se, but more of a Catholic job training facility for the Native Americans. There is also an introduction video in the Visitor's Center.

This one was my favorite of the missions. It is by far the largest with plenty to see. A very well preserved piece of history. If your interested they have a tour an video to watch. Nice visitor center on site as well.

We rented bikes and biked to this mission from the others. Mission San Jose was very impressive. The visitor center is very large with a mini museum describing the mission. If you only have time to visit one you must visit San Jose!

Of course we started at the Alamo and when we only had time for one more Mission visit our guide said "San Jose" Great visit! A volunteer at the Mission was very informative.

When I went there, I wasn't sure why it is so famous. But there is a movie show about the place it was great and very clarifying. Really nice to visit such a historic place

Beautiful place to take pictures and know the history of Texas, United States and Mexico. There are a lot of ghost stories in this place.

Mission San Jose is one of several missions you can visit in San Antonio. But if you have to pick between the missions make sure you visit Mission San Jose as it is called the "Queen of the Missions" because it is the largest of the missions in San Antonio. Wear your walking shoes and easy the site. There is a Visitor center with a list of things to enjoy while you are visiting the Mission. There is also a short movie with the history. Enjoy this different and learning adventure off of the River Walk.
