If you are a Christian and you live in or around Plano-TX, or you are visiting, or you are looking for a church, this is the church to go! If you are nopt a Christian, you are welcome to visit! Many people get afraid or uncomfortable when talk about big church, but at least at Prestonwood, there is nothing to be afraid of. Yes it's big, but the message is also big. Jack Graham is the pastor of Prestonwood Baptist Church and the voice of PowerPoint Ministries, the broadcast ministry of Prestonwood. You can visit the website for messages archives, watch it live on Sundays, or even download the app (Prestonwood church). No, I'm not getting paid to do it. I just love the way Pastor Jack preaches straight from the Bible. No "interpretations", just the truth. And the church's Ministry reaches around the world by Power Point (Radio, TV and online), by sponsoring new churches around the country and outside (even in Brazil!), and with missions. Please don't get overwhelmed, specially if you're not used to visit big churches. Just focus on the message, and I would suggest to arrive around 9am, and get info about a Sunday class for you to visit. There are many classes, and there is also child care and classes for different age groups.Main services are at 9:15 and 11:00 am, so you can go to Sunday class, the to main service, or just pick a time to the Main service. Your choice. It may look like a big business, as some people have said in different reviews, but I'm a member of the church, and I can say that all activities related to that church are managed by people who work with the heart to help other people, like me and you.I found the church by listening to the Power Point on the radio, So I was attracted by the message, because I have knowledge of it. I had no idea that it was from a church so big.Come visit. You'll love it!

I believe this is one of the biggest churches around and I don't belong but always go to the Christmas show as it is bigger than any broadway extravaganza with live animals, thousands of volunteer actors, digital stage presence and flying angels overhead. If you do nothing else, come out in December and check it out. It is not to be believed. There is the holy religious part of the show and the glitzy Santa version as well. The choir is enormous. You have to be quick to get tickets so I would check months in advance.

For anyone who can look beyond the ginormity of the church itself, you will find that YOU have a place here. It isn't a traditional church with piano & hymn-playing and older crowd. Is isn't a contemporary church with screaming guitars and only generation X-ers. It's a wonderful mix of both! From excellent classes for those pondering engagement, one with new babies, and even a class for young widows...this church has a place for YOU! Solid, solid teaching from the top down. Emphasis on missions!Highly recommended!

They greet you with a smile and hand shake, The praise music is wonderful. The pastor is someone who keeps the message simple but gets the point across. My son and his family go to this church we will go back every time we visit!!

I am a sales rep and the church was on my list of customers to call on. I call on MANY churches and have never gotten treated like this before now. When I reached the person I needed to speak with, he was extremely rude to me to the extent of hanging up on me. As a fellow Christian, I operate my career with integrity and respect of others in hopes of being a blessing or encouragement to people. It truly saddened my heart to see that people get treated like this. How we act as Christians DOES impact those of whom we contact both in our personal and business relationships. I don't want to post the name publicly, but would talk to someone about it from the church if the opportunity does arise.

I have been attending the Women's Bible studies for several years. They have been uplifting and deep enough to be meaningful. It is a welcoming environment with great teaching. I highly recommend.

When new to town, we attended for about 18 months. Enjoyed the music. Tried to talk to folks, make friends to no avail. Could not get a sense of community there. Seemed a bit snobbish and only very superficially friendly. Ended up joining a smaller church and it was a better fit for our family and children.

Most people might be intimidated because of the grandeur of this place, but the staff was VERY competent, and the wedding was fun (for a Christian wedding of course, don't expect booze).

Nice facility and the production values were the ceremony were handled well......unfortunately after the ceremony that ended at 930pm, it was pitch black outside.....they never turned in the flood lights on the parking lot as over 400 people made there way to their cars (or at least tried to)

The services of Prestonwood are completely about Christ and helping individuals to grow closer to God. When my wife and I started attending we had 1 child in elementary, 1 in JH and 2 in HS and our goal was to make sure they had stability. More specifically, we wanted to be sure that Christ and his teachings were at the center of everything at the church we would plug into and also that they had programs for our kids. We have found over the past several years that everything about PW is about drawing families to Christ. The pastor Dr. Jack Graham as of June, 2014 has been there for 25 years. When Dr. Graham was a teenager his father was tragically murdered in the parking lot of the modest hardware store that his dad owned in Fort Worth. Just a few years ago Dr. Graham had prostate cancer and had to undergo treatment and lost a substantial amount of weight and even had to miss services. This is a pastor that in my opinion has been a living example of the dramatic extremes of life we sometimes embrace and other times face including securing a doctorate, traversing a murder and learning to forgive, going through a critical health challenge and yet having a marriage of 40 years (or close) and also being a pastor of PW for 25 years. This is so admirable in my opinion and is an example that I want my family to be exposed to--and of course all the while Dr. Graham keeps pointing to Christ. I encourage anyone thinking about visiting PW to enjoy the services, the music and messages. It may take a few weeks (especially if you have different ages of kids) to really get the schedule down of the best place to park, to sit and everything to maximize your time but it is well worth it. By the way, I am not a paid staffer at PW or anything. If you want to make friends you will not do this just by attending a service. You will also want to attend a Bible Fellowship class which are small classes of anywhere from 6 to 50 people located around the building on Saturdays and Sundays. This is how we have learned to enjoy the 'big church' but then have the intimacy of friends in a much smaller setting. I do understand that just attending PW and seeing the large facilities can give a certain impression but in my opinion for every square foot of real estate there is a mile of depth in Christ!

We have gone to the Christmas Program every year for the last 5 years, if you love Christmas and more Church like programs you need to see this show. You will not be disappointed. Park on the side and not in front of the church and you will have not problem with getting in or out of the parking area. The church is very impressive.

My husband and I attended the opening night show this week. It is, without a doubt, THE BEST Christmas program I have EVER had the pleasure to experience! The orchestra and choir were outstanding and just about every Christmas song that comes to mind was featured! "Jingle Bells", "Jingle Bell Rock", "Let it Snow", "Deck the Halls", "Happy Holidays", "Christmastime" were among the features of Act 1. Each song had dancers as well as singers. The Children's Choir was simply amazing and shared events of "Frosty the Snowman", "Rudolf the Red-Nosed Reindeer', "Here Comes Santa Claus", "Santa Claus is Coming to Town". Yes, there was a 'real' Frosty, Rudolf and Santa. Santa Claus actually FLEW in from above in his sleigh!! The Student Choir was superb in giving us "A TV Christmas" starting with the Flintstones arriving onstage in their foot operated stone-age vehicle singing the theme song with slightly variable lyrics for Christmas. They continued with MANY other TV programs...."Beverly Hillbillies", "Happy Days", "Saved By the Bell", "The Jeffersons" and many more. The choreography was amazing as well as the costumes during the entire program. There was a beautiful Christmas waltz with couples complete with ball gowns. The Worship of Christmas part of the program was just that....very worshipful. "O Holy Nigh" was interpreted by three young ladies and aerial silk. Breathtakingly beautiful!"Drummer Boy" was my favorite (if I had to choose a favorite!). During the song, drummers were actually raised high as they played (with cables) but the worship during the song was powerful. Then, the Living Nativity......WOW! The birth experience of Jesus depicted, complete with donkey, sheep, townspeople, the star and culminating with the arrival of the Wise Men from the East.....complete with camels. Their bowing before the King is a moment I will never forget. The Gift of Christmas is impossible to describe. It is perfect for the entire family. There were young children sitting near us who were spellbound the entire program. A man two seats away was brought to tears. I can't imagine the work from lighting to set preparation to costumes to choreography to the music scores to the orchestra preparation and choir rehearsals to the learning of lines and practice, practice, practice that went into preparing this magnificent production. My husband I almost missed getting to experience this by waiting too long to get tickets. Sad to report but every night is sold out!!! Next year, we are going to start looking online the week before Thanksgiving to be sure and get tickets! The only remaining tickets were a package that included close parking and a buffet before the program. The buffet was very, very good. Our seats were on the 2nd row. Next year, we want to sit in the balcony to get the full effect of the aerieal events. Did I mention the angels flying overhead?
