Visited Fredericksburg while in San Antonio and went to the brewery. Set up is a bit odd given antiguated liquor laws in Texas but for 10 bucks you get 4 large tasters (about 5 oz), a nice taster glass and the tour. The tour is informative and really unique to see such a new brewery with that impressive of a set up. Also on the tour you can win more tokens. The beer at this place is great, arguably the best I had anywhere in the state of Texas. Their Lobo Negro is an award winner and clearly hits the style but the hefe and lobo are both quite god. The IPA is more of the malt heavy style in England than the hop bombs I tend to enjoy but wasnt a bad beer. If anhwhere in the area, to include San Antonio, go check this place out

Pedernales Brewing Co. is located a few miles from main street in scenic Fredericksburg. I you like beer, you will like Pedernales. They are the brewers of Pedernales beer (obviously) and LOBO. These are fantastic beers. I have always hated IPA's, however, when Walt at the Pedernales brewery poured me a Pedernales IPA, I changed my mind. The walk through of their production line is both informative and entertaining. As a plus, these folks LOVE their military!!! If you are in the neighborhood, definitely stop in and have a brew.

We visited and took the brief tour of the Pedernales Brewing Company. For $10 you get 4 wooden chips to sample their variety of brews, and you keep the 6 oz. glass, then take the tour. You may recognize their beer under the Lobo brand. It is sold nationwide. For the size of it, you would never know how "big" they are. This was a fun outing in the Fredericksburg, Texas area. And the beer is very good.

You really get your money's worth tasting beer here. You get to try 5 different types of beer and the glass is a pretty good size for tasting. You also get to keep the glass. The only downside to this visit was the lack of air conditioning. They had fans blowing so that helped a little. We enjoyed our visit though and will suggest this place to our friends for future visits.

We were driving by, and decided to stop. 10 bucks gets you 6 beers, a glass and a tour- absolutely worth it! The beer is great, the people are kind and the atmosphere is great. I recommend this to anyone who wants to have a few beers, hang out, and enjoy the company. This was great. Do this.

We visited Pedernales Brewing Company during a day trip to Fredericksburg. For $10 we received six beer samples, a tour of the brewery and an 8oz Pedernales glass. The value for the money is great. The tour was thorough and insightful. The weather was great so we enjoyed sitting outside though there isn't much scenery around. The beer was good though not our favorite. It's a great place for people who like traditional style beers or are just getting in to beers. We did really enjoy the Dunkel-weizen which was a seasonal they had available.

Cannot recommend this taste and tour enough! We loved the guide, he was very knowledgeable and provided such a good tour. We got to taste 5 beers and each was delicious! I am not a huge fan of Hefeweizen or IPA and I loved both! My husband was like a kid in the candy store. Really enjoyed our time at this Brewery!

Knowledgeable, friendly, and the best tour we have had :) You'll fall in love in with the beer; we didn't try one beer we didn't enjoy!! Highly recommend, you won't regret skipping a winery for this spot.

This place was very welcoming we had a great conversation with the engineer about the start up and direction they were heading as well as thorough beer tastings of the 5 on tap they had, only $10 for the tastings and tour, I suggest bringing chairs to hang out after the tour, side note: come here for a good brewery, the beer quality was much better than the Fredericksburg brewery as was the service! We will visit again.

This is a relatively new brewery just outside of Fredericksburg. One of the owners gave the tour and he was very knowledgeable about the brews and the brewing process. $10 gets you 5 glasses of beer.... They have 5 brews on tap to try. Free beer glass.Apparently they've just signed a contract with a distributor in our area (Houston) so we can expect to see Lobo brews soon. Excited:)
