I would not have found this place unless Virgil, from the Rex had not told me where to find it. Tucked away in the Chamber of Commerce, is a wall/glass case dedicated to the Navajo Code Talkers. Interesting information but kinda sad there isn't a more prominent place for these dedicated soldiers.

Navajo Code Talker Museum in Gallup is a short pictorial and descriptive exhibit of the role that Navajo Indians played in WWII in the manner of using their native language to encipher and decipher military information for radio transmission. Volunteers were primarily under 20 years old but wanted to serve their country and did so in a unique way. The on-line address is misleading. The exhibit is in the Chamber of Commerce building next to the railroad tracks.
