My husband and I spent 2 wonderful days and nights at Zia Park Casino & Hotel. We have visited the Casino many times before, but this was our first stay at the Hotel. Our experience was very enjoyable, the Hotel Staff was so friendly and helpful. The Hotel is very clean; the room was also nice and clean. The free breakfast was good , and we ate dinner at the Centennial Steak House ; the food was excellent and our steaks were cooked perfect. The wait staff was very good and attentive. Enjoyable experience all together and look forward to going back very soon.

Used to win a little money here, dont no if it has anything to do with it or not, but shortly before the new Hotel addition, they dropped their payouts on the machines I played 50% !!, You now have to bet double the money,to aquire the same jackpot ! ! ! Another problem I have, is , upstairs at the racetrack bar, after drinking numerous drinks , at a higher than normal price, they had ''NO ""affect on me ! ! ! Makes you wonder if their watering down the Booze !??!?!? I DONT GO HERE ANYMORE ! ! ! ! ! !

While I can't really offer an opinion on the casino itself, the hotel and racetrack part of this establishment is fantastic! Everything was clean and convenient. I loved the fact that the hotel is connected to the racetrack facilities and the fact that you could easily view the saddling paddock from indoors was a nice touch. We sat in the turf club, which was comfortable with nice clean bathrooms and an elevator that took you right down to the winner's circle. Surprisingly, the turf club wasn't smoky at all even though smoking is allowed. Seating in the turf club was a $7 fee the day that we attended and a racing forum and pen was provided at no extra charge. My only complaint was that it was a little bit warm inside, although not unbearable. The hotel room was clean and spacious and offered everything that we needed during our stay. I really wish that other racetracks featured this kind of set up. Aside from the racetrack there isn't much else to do in the local area.

This is a small casino right across the New Mexico, Texas state lines. There is a wide variety of slot machines, and many of them use the newest 3D technology, so they are more interactive. There is a new hotel, and restaurant on site. If you are looking for a fun way to spend a couple of hours, this is it. But get ready. You will be surrounded by smokers, and the filtration system does little to recirculate that air.

We decided to try the new hotel since we had free night offers. We did get to check in earlier than the 3pm time. The luggage dolly's were plentiful . The rooms are very nice and had refrigerators that were cold ,working microwaves Large screen TV and of course bedside clock. Pillows were too soft for me so glad I had my own. Coffeepot was the single serve type . Upon check in breakfast vouchers were issued for each person. These were hot cooked breakfasts scrambled eggs sausage and biscuits and gravy. I chose cereal oatmeal with a toast bar whole wheat sourdough or rye . Juice was available also I think the breakfast menu changes daily. Orders were brought to the table. Over all the night was very restful. About the casino Doors open at 10 am so we had a little time to wait. We enjoy the casino its not so large that one gets lost. My Mother in law always seem to do very good so fun for all

I came here on a Saturday night it was fun but I didn't hit nothing big the pennies machine weren't paying I spend some money on drinks too. What I don't like is you can't take them to the gambling floor that kind of sucks. But is their policy. I would try to play the pennies or quarters machines if you try to have fun. The dollar and five dollar machine can eat your money quick. Have fun

We come here often. Make lots of donations a few withdrawals! The employees are polite and helpful. The only complaint I have is the smoking filtration is not up to par. Other than that we enjoy our visits!

We spent the night in their new hotel and had a wonderful time. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The horses were racing and we had a great time watching the races. The casino is like most, don't go there thinking you are going to make a living. There were plenty of open machines to play (we were there during the week) and so I had plenty of choices. Plan on coming back if we are in the area again.

The Zia Park Hotel just opened in August, so we were some of the first guests. Décor is very pretty, and the rooms are quite nice, reasonably priced and include breakfast. Coffee was available at all hours in the breakfast area, too. Front desk staff was warm and friendly. Casino is a nice size and fun, with enough payoffs to keep you playing for a while.

Back in 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009 - the dance floor at the Casino was where it was at! It was always packed, the music was always good, and you could always have a good time. I was never a big fan of the bartender's skills, but hey, a beer is a beer is a beer - so I just stayed away from mix drinks.I don't know what happened but the place is DEAD all the time. The drinks still suck, unless the bartender happens to know you AND like you, and then *wink*wink* your drink magically tastes wonderful. I know some of the DJs out there and they play really great music, so it's not them, it's the people that go to the casino nowadays. I guess the crowd just isn't the same.

I have been there twice and this time went to the highly recommended steak house. The service was slow and the food mediocre at best. The casino is under construction and continues to be very smokey.

We've been here twice (2 full weekends) now here at the casino. It seems to hit ok, but not a very big hits around $200 to $300 range mostly, not just us but every one it seems. It's enough to play with their money for a while, and it seems when it does hit big it seems usually UNDER $2000, mostly $1600 to $1800, just enough to play all back while you're there for the weekend after you pay tax on them. Even at the high rollers, people that are playing $5 and $10 machines usually only hit UNDER $2000 it seems. Never a top JACK POT for that machines, although we did see one couple did hit a top JACK POT for $10,000 this weekend (Labor Day weekend). The machines are regular casino machines not like the ones at the KICKAPOO casino in Eagle Pass,Tx although these machines here at the ZIA seems much older machines, like used or second hand machines. They claim they've got 750 machines, and it seems 3%- 5% of the machines are down usually. The ticket changing to cash machines seems doesn't work most of the time. It has only one Cash Cage for the entire casino floor. I saw 3 help your self soda and coffee stations, one always down other two ice seems to be out most of the time. There's no alcohol allowed in the casino, has steak house and another restaurant at the 2nd floor, where you bet on horses while you eat and drink. The service is so SLOW there that we had to eat at the steak house most of the time we were there (be sure to make reservations on the weekends). Overall it's FUN place to be for the weekend if you're not expecting anything big to hit and just to PLAY, it does lets you play with their money for a while, and only takes me little over 3 hours to get there. It's all just the FUN! FUN! FUN!..

Wow....several months ago we drove (2+ hours) to Hobbs for our first visit to the Zia Park Casino which was recently added to an established race track. This casino will soon be joined by a hotel supposedly to open Labor Day weekend. The casino is open every day from 10AM until 1AM...weekends later. The casino proved fun and the employees unusually friendly compared to other normal casinos I have experienced...must be that "close to Texas Hospitality"! The actual casino is mostly slots of many shapes and sizes but predominantly pennies and nickles. An unusual feature is that no alcohol is allowed in the gaming area. Smoking IS ALLOWED however and a no smoking gaming area was sadly NOT evident with the exhaust system none too efficient.Hospitality areas with free coffee and cold beverages are found throughout. Dining areas are upstairs near the bar. Food and service was "ok". Restrooms were immaculate and spacious on our first visit, not so our second visit. This second recent visit was a total disappointment. Many of the slot machines were out of order with no repairs being attempted. We had an issue trying to cash out and waited 15 minutes for an attendant. Certain areas of the floor were EXTREMELY heavy with smoke.Non the less, we spent our allowance...and then moved up stairs for lunch which was the REALLY BIG mistake. Our first visit here we experienced marginal meals but attributed it to being new and assumed things would be better. This time, both our meals were so greasy, cold and poorly prepared we actually could not eat them. Our complaints fell on deaf ears with a management person wanting to negotiate the price instead of offering a replacement. Menu prices are unusually high for a casino.Sadly, there appears to be lots of potential here but improvements will not be at our expense...at least for a long while. Hopefully they will try.For those of you not familiar, Hobbs is a bustling oil drilling region in a rather remote area of New Mexico. Lots of growth going on. Actually the area is rather scenic with its rugged and varied terrain. Horse racing begins at this same Park sometime in the fall.

This used to be a fun place to spend a few hours but it has become a home for penny players and higj limit players. They had so many great slots, especially quarter and half dollar. Some were so popular that people would stand around to get a chance to play them. So they were all removed and more penny slots added. They are in the process of renovating and that means the drink stations were shutdown and we also noticed that slot attendants were hard to find. It was very slow and many machines were empty. I also noticed that one screen, actually a small computer monitor was being used on an electronic poker machine and it was broke. They are in process of adding a hotel but I can't see us using it because of the lack of play you get for your money. Also, they have started removing an posts on Facebook that are not positive and you cannot enter a review. In the past all you would get back as a response was a canned message that never addressed your concerns. This used to be a great place and we would go often but now we we will drive the few extra hours to go to Oklahoma
