There are many places to go to hot springs in NM-I have only been to two other places. This one is my favorite so far. Why? It has a wonderful unpretentious feel to it and you get to be outdoors taking in the amazing blue sky against the deep red canyon walls. We were able to soak in the spring water with our friends who were visiting from out of town. Our host was warm, friendly and helpful. The price is reasonable and covers an hour of soaking. There are multiple changing rooms and a bathroom is available as are beverages. Definitely a place we will return to.

While in Jemez Springs for 3 days, my husband and I visited Giggling Springs twice, a total treat and one that added greatly to the relaxing experience of our visit to the area. The cost is the same as the village hot springs and both are nice facilities, but some pluses for us were being able to soak together in a very quiet space and soaking outdoors. The owner, Jim, and his daughter were very, very nice and run the place as a quiet, respectful, laid back respite. It was also very clean, another plus. There were 2 other people soaking at the same time as we were for both of our visits which I thought might have been weird given that the pool is not large, but because the standards for keeping things quiet and respectful are basic rules there, it was totally fine. It didn't hurt that we stayed at the hotel next door to the hot springs as we could just throw on our comfies and flipflops and head on over for a soak--I highly recommend it! Jim was great to chat with and also gave us great recommendations for hiking in the area. Looking forward to our next visit!

Giggling Springs Hot Springs in Jemes, NM is a lovely jewel of a spa in a small setting. We stopped in one chilly day, getting into the hot mineral spring just ahead of a light rain. It was so lovely and relaxing to be in the hot and soothing water and watch the light rain falling on the mountains around the community. I loved being there and will return every chance I get.

Dear Crystalyn,Thank you for taking the time to write a nice review. Summer storms can be tricky, but most pass within a half hour and is one of my favorite times to soak. Regarding the water temperature, there is a sign at the pool that guests can turn to ask to make the water hotter. We are sorry if you were not aware of that. At the waterfall, the water comes out at 122F so is rare that the water is not hot enough for our guests that like it HOT! Most of our guests are here for the same reason to relax in a quiet and beautiful setting. Sometimes we find that a couples' visit here is the first time all week they've had time to talk in their busy schedules. We offer Fridays from 11-1 quiet time where guests are here just to chill and relax quietly. Maybe your next visit, come at that time. Thank you again and we look forward to your next visit.

Dear Denise,Thank you for coming to visit us. You were definitely here at one of the prettiest times of the year. Our water has calcium, magnesium, iron, silica and potassium. We have never had any problem with silver tarnishing, or hair color problems! Actually, no one has ever had any negative reaction to our water...that's pretty cool! Dear Marielle,Love the title of your review! Thank you for the great description of the Giggling Springs. We are very embarased...I mean embarrassed about the misspellings on our shirt! I don't know how it got by us. Tell your friend that the most collectable coins are the ones with imperfections. We will make the corrections on our next run, but you have the collectors edition! Just a little note regarding David Prichard's jewelry. He supports independent stores. He has never been in Macy's that I know of. Thank you for your review. We're glad you found the pool to be "large and clean" and that you had the bonus of having it all to yourself for half an hour! We do limit the number of people allowed in at one time, so unlike many places, you don't have to soak with 100 other people. As for the shower afterwards, its recommended that you don't shower after soaking as you just wash the minerals right off and don't get the entire benefit of the soak---also, we do hope that people try to understand that we live in a desert here, and water is a precious commodity to us.
