So many things were closed in the historic district. Even if the sign said they'd be open at a certain time, they weren't. It was hard to find places to eat. And nothing was open when we arrived at 4 pm Friday, no shops to explore or museums. All closed.

Downtown T or C is great! I love all the different bathhouses. Check out the CHF Thrift Store on Broadway for inexpensive treasures. There are other cool little stores to poke around in. My favorite is the Miner's Claim, an awesome rock shop owned by a very knowledgeable man. There's free parking at the bank, and a visitor information center at the end of that same block.

I have to say that there is something mesmerizing about this little area. I can really see how one could come visit and then want to move in! The town really does shut down at 5:00. It makes things seem so calm and relaxing and yes, a little twilight-zonish. I will come back and stay downtown if I get a chance.

Check out the different hot springs bathhouses-each one unique and very affordable! Walk to "downtown" Truth or Consequences- trading posts, thrift stores, a few restaurants, even a movie theatre. Just like a scene from The Twilight Zone, almost deserted but you never know whats around the corner!

A quaint and funky downtown with awesome hot spring spas. Fun art galleries and shops...come and enjoy...but do it before about 5 PM because we roll up the streets....lol
