Glad you like to come in the summer to enjoy the Enchanted Circle. We are coming off one of the best ski seasons in years and are looking forward to summer activities. There are actually a lot of activities here in summertime! The Angel Fire Bike Park is ranked in the top 5 in North America and is rapidly becoming a bucket list mountain bike desitnation. We have one of the highest and most thrilling Zipline tours in the Rocky Mountains, an 18 hole Golf Course, Fishing lakes and streams, tennis, pickleball, road cycling century tours, exceptional hiking, hunting and cool mountain temperatures....Hey, thanks for your review! It came just in time for me to extol the great virtues of a trip to Angel Fire Resort this summer! Hope to see you again!

16 years? We've missed you! I am glad that you find our core values have not changed! We still are family focused, child friendly and our skiing is great for all levels of ability! Dear LOLagain,Thank you for your visit to Angel Fire Resort and your review. We hope it will not be another 5 years before you ski again and that next time you will again choose us! Of all the nice things you shared, "Angel Fire being the friendliest" is perhaps the nicest! We pride our selves in being the "right sized" resort, not so big that we forget what is important....you! Because of the kinds of people who chose to work here, it is natural that they want to share their fun and hospitality on a more intimate and friendly level than you might experience at a larger resort. Coming in the midweek and in January is a great time to visit. Typically there are less skiers, more snow and the lift tickets cost less! Thanks for sharing that insight! We hope to see you back soon (not in 5 years :))!

Dear Caitlin,I am very sorry to hear of your lift experience. We typically get very good reviews on our lift operators and lift staff. Even as an expert skier, Lift #2 can be more challenging than our detachable quads. There is increased spacing and the rope speed is such that there is more than adequate time to load. You are right, Taos and many other ski areas have these older center pole lifts. You mentioned that someone was not told to remove a "pack". Was that you? Certainly wearing a pack on any lift would complicate loading. Experienced skiers typically take off the pack and carry it when loading.Again, I am sorry you had a loading mishap. A misload can be both scary and embarassing. We do try to make lift loading as safe and as efficient as ever, our training and reputation are very good in the industry. Since we do have the only 2 high speed detachable quad lifts in New Mexico, we hope that you will give us a try again!

We try to make what could otherwise be a complex entry into the sport as simple as we can by sharing helpful hints on our website, through our brochures and especially on the phone with our Mountain Reservationists ! For folks who do just a little research and planning that due diligence can pay off big time! We want to steer you to success! Knowing that you can make an advanced reservation, fill out all your releases, reserve your equipment and picking it up the afternoon before your lesson really puts you in the fast track to learning. I am very pleased that you enjoyed your group sessions with Gilbert! Our Deluxe Beginner Package really paces the learning appropriately and is far superior to a simple 2 hour lesson. Our class sizes for adults actually average around 5.5 for the season....so your 6 person was a half a person bigger than usual! ;) Don't forget your bonus ticket for another discounted lesson in the future....you are on your way!

Hello again, At Angel Fire Resort, we take great measures to ensure our guests' safety with a 24-hour security team and multiple roaming security officers. Your incident saw immediate response from our Director of Security (Dave) and Chief Marketing Officer (Ed) with direct attention from both gentlemen. We spoke to all parties involved (including witnesses) and made no promises of banning the other guest as the stories were conflicting with no clear reason for the incident or culpable party. We advised that you both stay away from each other and monitored the situation to ensure that the situation was resolved. Thank you for your commentary.
