Was privileged to see Lee Greenwood in concert in August 2014. Awesome venue. One of the best concerts I've been to in a long time.

Saw Broadway Tenors Oct 26, 2014. Gorgeous venue, not a bad seat in the house. Such a wonderful resource for this area of New Mexico, which is sparsely populated. Go there, and enjoy!

Comfortable seats, architecturally interesting and a gracious staff make this a good bet for a show. Decent touring companies for the most part and a gorgeous location make this venue worth aa detour.

I took girlfriends who were visiting from out of state here for the behind the scene's tour. It was great! The tour guide was very knowledgeable. Lots of information and interesting facts. It's a beautiful theater and the Chihuly glass exhibit is beautiful. My husband and I have been to a few concerts here. Not a bad seat in the house. I highly recommend it! Tours are offered on Tuesday's and Thursday's at 10:00 a,m. Recommend you call ahead to make sure the tour if offered when you want to go. Free of charge. There is a donation box.

I attend as many performances as possible at this theater. There is not a bad seat in the house. The acoustics are amazing and the atmosphere is out of the world. The staff is outstanding. A must attend location if given the chance.

I recently went to a concert at the Spencer and the theater itself is state of the art. The acoustics were incredible. I must have said that to my wife 3 or 4 times during the performance. Every seat is a good one. Next time your in the area check their schedule and catch a play or concert. You'll be glad you did!!

Definitely go see a performance, but if you can't, at least go take a tour of the facility on Tuesday or Thursday. There are so many things to see like the special glass use throughout and the fabulous blown glass by creator Dale Chihuly.. The view from the theater is so beautiful, but the view inside is just as beautiful. You will want to see the U-shaped glass bar. the stage and back-stage, the spacious dressing rooms. It takes a lot of money to operate this theater, so please make a donation when visiting and touring the theater. The volunteers that work there are so knowledgeable and really care a lot for the facility. Make this a must on your list every time you go to the Ruidoso area.

Great buffet before performance. This was something we had not tried before. The food was good, and it made the timing of dinner easy to coordinate with performance time. We were a little late calling for tickets, and sat in the balcony for the first time. This is such a well-designed and intimate theater that there are really no bad seats. If you have not seen or heard Ottmar Liebert and Casa Luna, you must seek them out. The wonderful Chiluly glass sculptures that decorate the theater, as well as its outstanding architecture make it worth a trip, even without the concert or the food.

This is an outstanding theater to see concerts, etc. Every seat is just like you were on stage. There are no bad seats. It is a beautiful facility and they have professional ushers which leads a nice touch, with them dressed in black slacks, white shirts and bow ties.

The Spencer theater is a beautiful place but their annual Wine and Beer Fest was a joke. Only two "microbrew" vendors with a total of six beer samples. Four of them were from bottles. The women pouring the samples acknowledged that they knew absolutely nothing about beer. Only 5 vintners available to sample their wines. Probably the worst "beer & wine" festival I've ever been to. No music or entertainment, at least for the first hour and a half when we finally left. Wouldn't have stayed that long except our friends showed up. If entertainment was scheduled it wasn't posted anywhere. Certainly not worth the $20 entry fee or the 200 mile round trip.

The theater is a beautiful place on the hill for events. We attended during summer vacation in August of 2013. This trip will be attending two event for our 2014 trip. The sound and seating arrangement are good from all locations. Enjoy!!!!

One of the most unexpected finds in Lincoln County is the fabulous Spencer Theater out on Highway 220 minutes from Ruidoso, New Mexico. We have gone to several broadway type shows at the theater and have enjoyed every single show. The theater is laid out in an awesome manner and I do not believe there is a bad seat in the house. Compared to other theaters that we frequent (the Smith Center in Las Vegas), all the shows are very reasonably priced. Occasionally, they host a dinner prior to the show which is reasonably priced. The bars have just about anything you might want to order. The Spencer Theater is truly a rare gem and we are so thankful that it is just minutes away. Unlike many theaters of its kind, parking is ample and free unless you want to valet park.

We have been to a few shows at the Spencer Theater and we always enjoy them. It's a smallish theater so there really are no bad seats. If you are attending a show like West Side Story be sure to get a seat in the first row in the balcony. The view is spectacular. They have a fully stocked bar to get a drink before the show and you can pre-order your drinks for the intermission. Then, you just go to the bar and grab your drink without having to wait. The price of tickets is very reasonable and we are looking forward to attending more shows in the future.

I went to the Spencer Theater to see the Broadway Revisited show. Not only was it a truly spectacular performance featuring the stars of real broadway shows(Phantom of the Opera for instance), but I got an excellent seat at a fair price since I had reserved ahead of time. I came in the wrong entrance to happen across the roll call booth, but the friendly staff quickly directed me to the place where I could claim my ticket. The bartender not only made me a delicious White Russian, but even offered to have another one waiting for me during intermission! I thought that was a wonderful idea, so I pre-paid for it and she had it on the counter with my name on it when I returned an hour later. The acoustics in the room were incredible and I had a fantastic experience!
