Took my son and a friend to see a movie. No one was there to take tickets for 10 minutes. We could have walked right in and no one noticed. When the person came she apologized because she was working alone for the whole theater.Inside the theater held about 30 seats. The screen was small. The worst part was the theater was freezing. Everyone was wearing their coats and hats. One person even had gloves on. The positive is that the seats are leather and they fully recline.Tip: free parking on the side of the theater.

Lovely renovated chart... Fresh popcorn and comfy upgraded seats, reasonable prices too. There is a huge public lot for parking nearby also

This theater has been here for at least 30 years easily at is location. I have never visited it until recently. I had a promotional voucher that let me see a movie along with getting a small drink, popcorn & candy for 8 bucks. So I figured why not. Only seen the theater from the outside. For me & where I live it's not an easily accessible drive. Though it's a few minutes from Route 3, that's a bit more out of way for me. I pretty much zigzagged through town. Not sure if they have a designated parking lot for themselves. I parked on the street around the corner. They are part of the Empire umbrella as far as theaters go. Hours wise they're open from 11am-11:30pm. Matinees were $8.50 if I recall. The outside marquee boasted that they had reclining seats. So I was figuring I had a better deal than expected. Unfortunately when I had to use my particular voucher they didn't have really any movies that appealed to me wanting to see other than Guardians of the Galaxy (which I saw & really liked already). So I went to see November Man. Not bad. The lobby as I walked in looked old. Probably the way it looked when it opened up. Quite antiquated. Since I was seeing a first run movie I was in theater 1. I was looking forward to checking out these leather reclining seats. WHAT A LET DOWN!!!!! I walked into theater 1 & was taken by surprise. It was pretty much a dive. The theater was outdated & looked it. Seats were hard & tight. I'm a tad over 6ft 2in & leg tall. My knees just about hit the seat in front of me. Not good. The floors were old, like the seats & the rest of this theater. There was garbage on the aisle floors. Saw a popcorn bag on the floor. Since I was at the first showing of the day, I figured this was from the night before & no one bothered to clean it. The cup holder was in the back of the seat in front of you. Since the seats are slightly angled, so is the cup holder. If your drink is full like mine was when I put it in there, it's spills onto your as well as the floor when you place it there. Honestly. If it wasn't a voucher & a refund could be had, I would have got up & left right then, but stuck it out. It was uncomfortable sitting in those seats. I again was surprised that the theater I was in didn't have decent seats if it wasn't the new reclining ones they advertised. The sign outside to me is misleading. I will post pictures if this gets accepted. Right now can't at this posting. Very disappointed. Needless to say that was my one & ONLY visit to the ALLWOOD 6.
