victory sports bar

Four of us decided to dine and drink at the Victory Bar last Saturday night and bet a few races. Worst decision on our part! I'll give the atmosphere a thumbs up, definitely looks nice with all the big TV's - very spacious. However, after being seated immediately.....it took 20 minutes for anyone to even come up and greet our table and ask us if we'd like something to drink. The waitress, who I swear must have been high on something, kept messing up our order, taking literally 15 minutes to get me a glass of water (after saying..........you want water...like...to drink?) My husband's food came out first........a cold burger and fries............12 minutes later my dinner came out. Completely disorganized. The place was empty but the way the waiters were running around you'd think there was a line out the door! We complained the manager and they bought us a round of drinks.....big deal....it took another 30 minutes to get them. The food was TERRIBLE and ice cold. I would NEVER go back and NEVER recommend this place. Stick to the Brownstone, Manzo brothers.

This is a sports bar that transforms into a nightclub at night - think of Buffalo Wild Wings trying to be a nightclub. Even worse was that there wasn't a fully stocked bar, for example they were missing Spiced Rum. The layout is interesting and the balcony that overlooks the club is cool - although I don't think that it is a part of the club. Overall, the place feels like it has an identity crisis - one part feels like it wants to be a nightclub, the other half feels like it wants to be a restaurant and the area in between a sports bar. The first visit to this venue had people there for the racetrack and most suitable for a sports bar. On the second visit, I observed that the demographic that this place attracted later at night was Manhattan wannabes, which is where I suspect they will ultimately end up.If you want a sports bar at a race track, this is ideal. If you have been to a real nightclub in the city, then you will be disappointed. This is a good "entry-level" nightclub, but not a serious contender as it seems they want to be. I did not try any of the food, so I cannot address that aspect.
