My bf and I were heading to ATL city for a weekend trip. My sister had previously visited this winery and had brought home a bottle of wine from Renault Winery. Since this winery does not ship outside of NJ, my family had mentioned to me to stop by and buy a couple of cases so they can drink for their enjoyment when we brought it back to them.As I was walking around and looking at the wine selection in the Wine/Gift shop, I noticed that the gentlemen at the cashier counter kept looking at us. As it was time to tell him that we wanted a couple cases as well as multiple individual bottles checked out for purchase at the counter, he said in an unwelcoming tone if we were 21, which I had answered yes. (We were well over 21) He then proceeded to say "take out your license for me" in a rude way, which I understand that it is his job to ask fortheir license from the consumers, but the tone of his voice when asking for it was unnecessary. His tone of voice was almost connoting that he was going to take a look at our license and find out that we were NOT 21, but like I said we were well over 21.As most vacationers/travelers, I like to carry cash as well as my cards. When I went to purchase the items, I had decided to use cash as my payment of method. We had purchased well over $200-$300 worth of wine. The same gentlemen proceeded to say "oh wow that's a lot of cash." I did explain to him that I was out of state and that I was purchasing it for family, and that was the main purpose I was there. He did not seem attentative to my story at all, and then started fanning out all the 20 dollar bills I had handed him for my purchase and said, "Do you want to see a magic trick?" I said to him "what is the magic trick?" He then proceeds to take out the black money marker and started drawing a line throughout the fanned out 20 dollar bills that I just handed it to him. I did not find this amusing at all, I found this to be very disrespectful and rude in how he would just mention to me if I wanted to see a magic trick and treated me as if I was more of a criminal than a well deserved paying customer by displaying that out loud to me.Truthfully, I would have taken my money back and left the wine there. But like I had mentioned before, my only reason why I took my time out of my trip to visit this winery was for my family.I would never visit this winery again due to their lack of customer service skills.

This vineyard has a lot of history to it. Take the tour and learn a little bit about it, you will not be disappointed. They have a huge selection of wines and champagnes. My personal favorite was the Blueberry Champagne. The wine tasting was great and it came with a etched wine glass. Very nice!

We had a great time at Renault. We took the tour and enjoyed the history of the winery. Our guide was hospitable and witty. She really knew her history of the winery. The hotel stay was nice, the bed was a little hard but the room was beautiful and large. We received a dining credit as we purchased through Groupon. The food was decent, but we were more in it for a new experience. This was the first winery we had visited and have been to a few more since then. I personally enjoyed this one the most.

I had a groupon and after putting it off for so long we finally made it to Renault. Amazing! Suzanne was awesome! She really made us interested in the history of the winery and had such character and spirit talking about it that it intrigued us. The wine tasting was good, I ended up buying a bottle of the Renault Noah. Wish We would've tasted more reds but the blueberry champagne was also a good one along with the Noah. Great place, much nicer in the summer I'm sure being that in the cold you really can't enjoy the views outside. Would recommend this for alittle night out with your honey or girls night.

We received a groupon for a tour, tasting and meal at Joseph's... We had called and asked about skipping the tour. I mean, who hasn't seen how a winery works by now? We had certainly been on our share of tours.. WELL. There is no tour like this one. We arrived early for our now tasting-only reservation. (Luckily) We ended up joining a tour that was 5 minutes in progress. Not only did you not get walked through the process of pressing grapes, etc, but you heard about the "boardwalk empire" sort of seedy history of the winery owners and gov't at the time, as well as advertising in the era of prohibition and how they got around the laws, and there is a huge display of old winery equipment. This certainly was not your usual tour. Renault is a beautiful winery, steeped in history and the buildings are gorgeous. Suzanne, an actress/ the tour guide, made the entire experience awesome. She was very emphatic about the history and it definitely was not a run of the mill tour. Lucky for us that we got there early!Definitely take the opportunity to go for the tour. Wines are good and we highly recommend the blueberry champagne! We read online too that they're in Ch. 11 bankruptcy, which is a real shame... Definitely get around to taking the tour and doing a tasting before anything happens to shut them down!

The Tour Guide "made" this a fun venue.... other then the wine tasting! Suzanne was very knowledgeable! She had some great stories! The wine was good! We tasted about 6 wines and the gift shop was serving the hot mulled wine- which was delicious. It was nice that they offered recipes also. Only downside- the entrance needs to be better marked. We couldn't figure out were to go and it was pouring outside. Signage would have really helped!

We got a groupon coupon - a gift of the Renault Winery tour. I did not expect this level of our satisfaction from this experience so I guess I can say it exceeded our expectation. The tour guide Susan was absolutely fantastic; She is an attraction by herself - knowledgeable, eloquent and entertaining. This year Renault Winery is celebrating 150 years. It survived even the Prohibition due to the invention of "medicinal wines", "tonic" and production of "sacral wines" for the holy mass... The connections with South Jersey local colorful political / mafia personae like the Boardwalk boss Nucky probably helped as well... The tour ends of course with wine tasting. And again our tour guides ability to talk about wines probably made us like most of their wine propositions. We ended up buying a case of their wines. The grounds, buildings including some of the original Renauld' s facilities, museum of wine glass, historical equipment displays - all colorfully presented by our guide - made for a very interesting tour. I enjoyed it greatly. We ended up eating dinner in their "Joseph's " restaurant across the street.

The tour Guide gave us a great talk on the history of the vinyard and shed us around the old building and winery. The tasting was not very good and I really didn't like any of the wines offered but that's my taste. Others may enjoy the wine. Worth a visit if you are in the area but not worth more than a one hour drive.

My sisters and I (total) 6 had a great time at the the Winery. We took the wine tour and ate at the Tuscany Restaurant. The people that we interacted with from the time we got there and from the time we left were super. The wine was excellent, the food was delicious, the grounds were beautiful. 3 of my sisters have made plans to visit in the spring.

Every trip has something different and interesting. Different operations going on than a previous visit. Different wines to sample than a previous visit. Different wines or gift ideas to buy in the gift shop than a previous visit. My wife and I went on Black Friday during their sale. It is a good way to stock up on favorites like Pink Lady and Royal Rogue.

My husband and I went for the first time to the gift shop on 11-1612014 at 4.30 pm. we were looking forward to see what they had and to see if we could get some advice to what wine is best for some foods, We look around the small store and we waited to talk to the boy behind the counter and we waited while he talked about his tattoos and the customers tattoos and what the boy wanted mean while we waited for at least 10 minutes. We were OK first 5 min but by the time 10 minutes came along we weren’t as excited to be there anymore. When it was our time the boy was short with us. We asked for some advice about the wine. He knew nothing nor could her careless. But he did know he only likes this one the best. He did say he would ask the tour guide in the other room, we were directed to stand right there (kind of felt like a dog), he returned in a min and said he can’t interrupted the guide to ask a question so that was it, we were tokening back by his tone and the way we were just talked to and the way he just dismissed us. As we stood there dumbfounded, a woman came through the door and he asked her one of the question we asked him. We turned our attention to the very nice women (I wished I remember her name). The boy did say I didn't know she was in the tour room. We thank her at least we did get some help. At the register we did buy 3 bottles of wine and again the boy’s attitude sorry, CAN’T SAY NOT ALLOW TO CURSE, I did tell him in front of the woman who was counted money. That I didn't like the way he made us wait while he talked about their tattoos and that he made us feel like we were wasting his time. He only said he was sorry because of the women. We will never go there again it was the first and last time. I wasn't sure if I was going to say a word but I went on line to see others have had a bad time as well. I did read that management will look into it but I see they were blowing hot air. I don't think they care. I have heard that they may be closing the doors, maybe it’s for the best, if management doesn't care then why should anyone go there and to be treating like dog POO on their shoes. I gave the time we were there in hopes maybe the can do something because the register tape and a girl’s name on it, it was a boy, not a man, a kid. I will take my business to the winery in New Egypt for now on. I will make it a point to tell all that I can about our time spend there. What a waste of a trip and time, Others Be Ware, if your are thinking about going think again and some where’s else that wants our business and cares about their customers

My boyfriend and I went to the Winery for our two year anniversary. We arrived early and they allowed us to check in upon arrival. After check in we went on the tour and wine tasting. The tour was ten bucks, but worth it. The tour guide was very knowledgable and seemed to know everything about the history. The wine and champaign was very tasty. Our room was on the third floor in a suite. We had delicious chocolate covered strawberries, and their were two swans on the bed covered in rose pedals. All the staff was very friendly and treated us great. The food was also very delicious, all the staff was friendly and treated us like they new us the entire time. No complaints here at all. Must visit winery.

I had a 50th Suprise Birthday Party in the Vintage Room of the Renault Winery this weekend and it Exceeded my Expectations!! I can't stop smiling since Saturday night - the food was delicious, Vintage Room was beautiful, Service was superb and the grounds were so charming! We used a block of 13 rooms at the Tuscany House Hotel and the party in the Vintage Room was a buffet dinner for 50pp. I highly recommend the hotel and any catering at the Winery. My amazing contacts were Francine Hunt, Hotel Manager and Tamarra Roy, Director of Catering both were a pleasure to deal with and made the entire experience so relaxing.I will definitely be dining, visiting and staying there again. I will also be telling the world about this gem of a Resort.

Six of us visited here on November 1, 2014 as party of a bachelorette party. We did not have a reservation for the wine tasting (was not aware you needed one, so for those of you planning to go, CALL AHEAD!), but the receptionist was kind enough to schedule us for a private tasting within the hour. While we waited we went to the bar, and we had a glass of wine. Bartender, busssers, and servers were all very friendly. We also had a photographer with us and no one seemed to mind us taking a bunch of pictures, which was nice. When it was time for our tasting, which is SUPER CHEAP ($5!!!), we were blown away by Suzanne our guide. She was so knowledgeable, funny, and completely and totally accommodating. She made our entire day!!! Because of her, we all left happy and each with a few bottles of wine :)

My husband and I found ourselves in egg harbor with some time to spare. We came across the renault winery and decided to go for a tasting. the tasting was inexpensive ($5) which included a nice variety of some pretty tasty wines. The lady pouring the samples was very friendly and knew her wine. The grounds were beautiful, I just wish it were not such a rainy day. We would absolutely go back.
