After reading about the Dutch Country Farmers Market on Tripadvisor we decided to check it out today. Glad we did. This enclosed market may be smaller than some, but it offers most everything the larger farmers markets do in Lancaster, PA., and you don’t have to drive all the way out there to get the same goodies. They have a wonderful selection of meats, cheeses, poultry, fresh produce and other items. We especially liked the Lebanon Bologna, Pimento Cheese, and Pickled Beets. We shall return.

wonderful bakerys with pretzels, breads and everykind of sweets. There was also a produce shop and I brought home Nj blue berries amoung other things and everything was fresh and very good tasting.

We stopped at this Market and were surprised to find a multitude of fresh produce, prepared foods, meats, fish, and desserts. The fish aisle has absolutely no smell, which means that they keep the fish extremely fresh. There was even cheese section and a full buffet for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We did not eat there but will next time we visit. The sales people looked like Pennsylvania Dutch and were eager to help and answer questions. It is well worth a look see.

We are frequent shoppers of the farmers' market so we decided to try the new restaurant/buffet. The food was fine. Nothing fancy, nothing too good, nothing bad either. I would say that the desserts and the chicken casserole were very good. We got started at 4:45 and the restaurant closed at 6. Once items from the buffet ran out, they refused to replenish them. We asked and were told that they had to cook more because it had been a busy day (they put very small amounts of food out at a very small buffet table, which is fine). Give it another 15 minutes they said. We waited for about 40 minutes - two other couples left during that time and then we did too. There were only three tables with people at them the whole time we were there. Clearly they were not cooking more they just didn't want to put more food out when they were closing soon. No problem, except they wanted our money too! Never been to a buffet that wanted your money but didn't want to replenish food. It was like they filled the buffet once and if you got some of the food, great, but it you didn't - too bad.

A visit to the Dutch County Farmers Market is an adventure in self control! Just to the right of the entrance is a fantastic candy shop with lots of selections of their packaged sweets. A not to be missed treat is the hot dog in a soft pretzel roll at the pretzel shop. The market also has a great restaurant with good prices and great food. Make sure you leave time to walk around and visit the other shops. Well worth the visit. After the first visit, you will stop by again even if just for the hot dog!

We were glad someone told us about this. Fresh produce with reasonable prices. Our favorite is the triple chocolate cake at the bakery! We always purchase a whole one for special occasions. We have not tried the butcher section, but will. Worth a stop on Thurs, Fri, or Sat. Check hours. There are also occasional coupons in the mail. There is a candy/fudge section, pickle/cheese section, bakery, soft pretzel area, butcher, craft/furniture section, sushi, and a little cafe. Well worth a stop to browse.

What a wonderful place. From the great fritters (apple and blueberry are both equally tasty), donuts (try the coconut cream ones) and sticky buns, over free range chicken eggs this place has everything that you would want. The butcher has great ham, meats and sausages, the cheese counter serves wonderful cheeses, apple cider and pickles, to just name a few of their treats. The pretzel stand has not just great pretzels, but also pretzels stuffed with eggs, ham and cheese and even pigs in a blanket pretzels. Everything is extremely reasonably priced and the people working in the market are all very friendly and helpful. The place is always really busy as it is only open Thursday to Saturday. The only thing I am always a bit sad about is the fact that they do not open before nine in the morning. I can usually not bring in any treats to work because they just open too late for me. But other than that, this is definitely a great treat in the Flemington area. My husband and I shop there all the time and it is one of the few places where I feel comfortable buying baked goods when I don't have time to bake myself.
