Definitely worth a visit for the wildlife, history, and definitely the views. The park has turkeys, deer, squirrels, hamsters, and birds. I also heard reports of snakes from some people, although I also heard that they were not poisonous. There's a really nice museum with a ton of historical info on Fort Lee and the Revolutionary War. Also, in late November they host an event where the workers dress up, fire the cannons, and open the small wooden houses that are scattered all over. The wildlife is also extraordinary, but be careful because the animals may have ticks. The view is really the best part. You can see just how massive the bridge s. Also, a very good place to look at the city skyline and get some good time-lapses ;). The parking is not free which is a con.Overall, great park. If you enjoyed this review and/or found it helpful/worthwhile please do leave a HELPFUL VOTE. Thanks!

Escaping the Holland tunnel alone is worth the visit. It's a peaceful escape before entering New York or upon exiting. It sits high upon the cliffs, and is great place for photos. If you are willing to do a little off the path exploring, you can find a great spot for a quiet picnic. The park extends north along pacific palisades parkway, or you can take the drive just above the river, and just below the George Washington bridge. You can visit a small museum for a history lesson, but I go back time and time again for the views.

We went during the week for a visit. I was hoping for a bit more of a fort feel, but understand the way they have it set up. The museum/visitor center was great. We learned a lot about the Revolutionary War with the displays. And the kids thought the artifacts displayed were great. The walk outside was easy, and the soldiers huts were nice to see. But I wish we could have seen the inside. But during the week, they are not open unless you are a field trip. The battery's were nice to see.I would definitely recommend a visit to the visitor center! Great educational experience.
